The perfect place where to spend an amazing night out with excellent food, unexpected combinations and prepared staff. I recommend the “fast four” menu + cheese course. If you like sparkling wine, ask for their house-made one!

This meal was outstanding, and I loved the little light in the table... I got some really moody pics of the food! We had the tasting menu and a couple of glasses of wine and a cocktail. The fish foam bowl was amazing, one of the best dishes I've ever had. The staff were amazing, really attentive and friendly and they kept offering us bread, which we eventually had to refuse because we were stuffed. The bone broth bread is insane though.

Incredible experience start to finish. We had the 6 course menu with wine pairing and snacks and sparkling wine. The food was interesting, beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. The wine pairings were very well considered and complimented the dishes perfectly. They were also gorgeous wines that I would have by the glass any day. The staff were also extremely attentive and knowledgeable about what they were serving and keen to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. I would highly recommend!

Such an enjoyable restaurant. It’s classic French food, all brilliantly executed. We did the full 6 course menu + canapés as is pictured. The service was also great, there was no rushing us out to turn over the table. The meal went along at its own pace - just like it should. One not to miss on a city break to Copenhagen

We came here to celebrate my birthday and we couldn’t have chosen better! It was a great experience. We chose the 6 course meal + wine pairing, and all the dishes were delicious! Bread included.
Fresh ingredients, a very nice atmosphere, and staff was very knowledgeable.
I do think that for the last meal, which was the deer, the red sauce was a bit overpowering.

For that we paid a bit more than 350 euros. Worth it!!

Extremely delicious fine dinning experience for me. All food are well prepare with fresh ingredients and excellent culinary made all of them delicious. Wine paring give more than compliment to your meal but more enjoyable. Staffs are really helpful with the food and wine. All of them are active and fast in service. Reservation are not difficult from the Google map. Easy to access by walk. Located in central area of the city. Really good experience to have dinner here. Really recommended !

Excellent from tip to toe. The service was perfect, the staff knows all the details about what they serve and are very well-prepared for the specific needs of the customers including allergies and preferences. We have had the 4-course dinner with their house-made sparkling wine and the cheese plate (which actually was a surprise because it is actually a well-combined dish of different cheese). Pricing was also quite appropriate for the level of richness the food had.

We booked the restaurant at last minute. It was totally worth it.
We ordered Fast Four. The sourdough was brushed with bone marrow; really delicious. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Great balance with the salted butter on the side.
The first was scallops with white asparagus. Aromatic and fresh. Gave a refreshing start of the fast-four menu.
The second was Yellow beets, trout roe, fennel. The combination of all ingredients was surprising in a good way! That was my favorite dish. The texture of different food was interesting, adding more fun to Nordic gastronomy.
The third was Teres major, Roscoff onion, juniper. The beef was very tender and flavorful. The mustard-like sauce balanced well with the balsamic-based sauce.
Lastly, it was Ymer, blood orange, lemon thyme. Refreshing end of the menu.
The whole experience was amazing. Service was friendly, warm. Would recommend it to my friends.

It was my last night in Copenhagen and I am glad I did choose Marv & Ben for it. They had to change time of my reservation 1 day before but they made it up with welcoming champagne. Food was awesome, everyone had so much knowledge about food and I highly recommend ice tea, it was amazing.

We had such a perfect evening at Marv & Ben. The restaurant had been recommended to us by a friend and we’re so pleased we took the recommendation. Every member of staff we encountered was so kind and friendly, they were extremely helpful with our dietary requirements and the food was sensational. I hope these guys get a Michelin star as they really deserve it. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

This small restaurant is truly a gem. It is found on one of the oldest streets in Copenhagen. There is a banner with the restaurant name hanging above the door, so it is easy to spot on Snaregade 4.

You enter along side the kitchen, which is separated by a glass wall. Very nice touch! The downstairs dining room is small, maybe 8 tables, so it has an intimate feel. There is a slightly larger dining room upstairs. The walls are painted with large pine branches, and the entire place feels quite cozy. The menu changes seasonally, and everything is locally sourced.

The food here is fantastic, and the staff are wonderful. We started with cocktails, which were quite interesting. Mine had a tarragon infused gin and absinthe - served martini style. My husband had the cocktail with aquavit and a plum flavored liquor. Both were original and lovely.

You can either dine on 4 or 6 courses. We opted for the 6 course meal. The starting dish was scallops, served cold with what they described as cabbage and white asparagus. It was way more interesting and complex than that. The entire dish was just lovely, bright and flavorful!

They also serve the most delicious sour dough bread made in house and served with butter. So good!

The second course was thinly sliced and very tender local squid, served topped with a sauteed slice of vegetable and topped with crisply lardo. This dish is sensational!!!

The next dish was served cold: yellow beets topped with local cheese, pine nuts, grains, and topped with a cheesy foamy sauce containing trout roe. The flavors were complex, with each bite bringing up a different combination of all these flavors.

The first meat course was beef tartare, that had finely minced sun-dried tomatoes in it. It was topped with something crispy, which added a nice contrast to the tartare. This was really a wonderful riff on this dish - it had a lot of flavor.

The main course of the dinner was tender slices of deer meat, served along side spinach, and a caramelized onion sitting in a bed of sauce. They topped the meat table side with a wonderful somewhat fruity but deeply flavored sauce. This was sensational.

I highly recommend the wine pairing. The choices were incredibly interesting, and the pours were actually of sufficient size to accompany your food.

Dessert was fairly simple: local pears marinated to soften them, and served with a crumble and a delicious cardamom ice cream made in house. It was a lovely finale to a perfect meal.

I cannot say enough nice things about the staff. They knew a lot about the food and wine, and the entire evening had the feel of dining with friends. I cannot recommend this place more highly.

Be sure to make a reservation. The place was full on a Monday. You won't get a seat if you just walk in.

We had a great time. Really good food, fresh, innovative, well presented. We had the 6 course meal + wine pairing which was spot on. The Mackerel and the beef dishes were absolutely amazing.

Would be great to finish with some chocolate flavored desert, but that's just a preference.

Just had dinner here. All I can say is amazing! Best meal we've had for a long time. The wine pairing was incredible; every pair a hit! Clearly Denmark is streets ahead on its food scene, if this restaurant doesn't even have a Michelin star.
