Dining at Geranium was a once in a lifetime experience for us. The quality of the innovative and technically precise food is impeccable. The implementation of local and seasonal ingredients blends amazingly well with their high-concept culinary imagination. The service was attentive, professional, yet personable, and flawless. The atmosphere is of the highest quality. The hand painted artwork by a celebrated local artist donning the walls is enchanting and perfectly tuned to the spirit of the restaurant. The state of the art open kitchen is an unbelievable space. The wine cellar is immaculate and perfectly maintained. Every course was special and contributed to the Spring Universe theme. Our favorite savory courses were the smoked bleak roe with milk + kale, celery root + apple with caviar and hazelnut oil, walnuts, sunchokes + fermented cabbage, the scallop, the monkfish l, and probably the bread pancake. The sweet courses were all perfectly crafted and unique while still tying in with the theme. The wines were exceptional... very pricy, yes, but easy enough to justify once for a special occasion. We loved the tour and the tremendous hospitality bestowed upon us. The parting gifts were particularly thoughtful and lovely souvenirs from a wonderful night we will treasure in our hearts and memories.

Incredible experience. Everything is just so good. Every detail tiny detail from the reception, the food, the service, the menu, the dishes, furniture, noise, warmth. It was pretty perfect.
My only little tiny critic would be the under gold or silver paper that seemed to accompany some dishes. For me it lessen the value of the dish itself., specially since other plates and servings are so much taken care off. Otherwise, I enjoyed it very much. Even those flavours I wouldn’t necessarily be much comfortable with, I enjoyed.
Staff was very attentive at all times and it was noticeable they genuinely cared about the client, the experience and providing a good service.

Amazing staff. Delicious food. If you are able to experience this phenomenal restaurant- do it. You will be pleased. Take the time to learn about the origins of the dishes!

It’s crazy how good this place is. Every little detail has been thought of. Very nice mix of dishes from very light and delicate to heavy and rich. Interior is well designed, feels very Scandinavian.

Service was really good and personal. A small tour through the restaurant somewhere halfway the meal was a nice touch. Tour went through the wine cellar, which is impressive, so many amazing bottles. After that we continued through the beautiful (empty) private dining room and the very large prep kitchen with views of the stadium.

The biggest concern I had going in was that Geranium would fail under the weight of its own expectations. I have been to another much-hyped restaurant in Copenhagen that fell victim to this. Perhaps the best compliment I can give is that Geranium lived up to the hype, which is quite a high bar. The food was inventive and thoughtful. The taste was what you would expect from a 3-star establishment; there is great taste and then there is taste you did not know could exist with flavors meshed that you never thought of (e.g., a raspberry, coffee and rosemary juice). That was Geranium. The staff was friendly and open, from Rasmus (who did greet the table) to the head chef to every level down. Truly magnificent experience.

Geranium. What can one say about a restaurant with 3 Michelin stars that has been on the list of best restaurants in the world so many times, it is now in a special category. First, it is a beautiful space outside the center of Copenhagen. Second, without doubt this is the most beautiful food you will ever be served. Third, the service is impeccable. And last, the food is delicious.

The food focuses on vegetables and seafood. But, oh, what a way they serve them. I will describe only a few of the 18 different plates we were served.

The first was what they described as salted herring In crispy algae, dill stems, and aquavit. It is topped with a crunchy wafer, essentially, shaped like a leafy stem. Stunning! The boiled beetroot was thinly cut and plated with 30 or 40 little cutouts that look like flowers but are actually beets. They are laid out like a wreath on your plate, and served with a horseradish flavored sauce. Of course, both these dishes were delicious.

The absolutely most beautiful dish I most likely will ever be served was the celeriac with hazelnut oil and topped with a fantastic sauce containing caviar that they spoon tableside around the petals of glittery celeriac. It was astounding!

The "mushroom soup" was served in a egg-shaped bowl set on dried plant stems and accompanied by a "cracker" shaped like wheat branches. Remarkable!

The monkfish was seared and served with a creamy sauce containing tiny mushrooms. Scrumptious!

Coffee is made tableside, and there are a variety of other rather theatrical serving approaches.

The "extras" can run up your bill to the price of a small car. There are 3 levels of wine pairings, offering of cocktails and champagne when you sit down, and optional caviar.

They give you a full tour of the place before you finish your sweet courses, which is fascinating! Just the wine room alone is amazing!

The restaurant is located on the eighth floor, and they have a greeter at the outside door to give you instructions. It is located on the far side of a soccer stadium at Per Henrik Lings Alle 4. It does not look like a fine dining restaurant could possibly be located out here. It is.

Great attention to detail when it comes to the presentation of the dishes and the service. Very good wine pairing as well. Nothing out of what's expected for these type of restaurant.

Really good spot, one of the best meals of my life. We went here the day after Noma and liked the flavors and presentation here significantly more

Definitely worthy of its place as top restaurant in the world. Visited in April 2022 and had the pleasure of trying their Spring Universe menu. The finesse and care in balancing flavours was amazing, as was the delicate presentation of the dishes. Enjoyed the tour of the restaurant and kitchen at the end, and they also gave us some goodies to take back. Highly recommend.

Nice and warm atmosphere with a great view on the nearby park. Delicious and nice to watch food, many from local places, coupled with special wines or mocktails.
Finally, a tour of the kitchen and amazing wine cellar. The time seems to pass differently at Geranium.

It must be hard to constantly have to live up to the expectation of being the number one restaurant in the world…but Geranium delivered in every way. From the moment that I was greeted at the door until I was sent home with a couple of treats, everything was absolutely perfect.

The food, of course, was imaginative and exceptional. The 18-course tasting menu delivered wonderfully complimenting flavors and paired quite well with the wine offerings. The staff was engaging and delightful, and it was my sincere pleasure to speak about all things wine with the sommelier. Our tour of the facility showcased such beautiful design elements and thoughtfulness in the layout. I have rarely ever seen a dining space with such a wonderful view and such and impeccably sorted wine room. The wine list was a spectacle in itself, being presented in a leather bound book that was well over 200 pages in length.

I can truly go on and on about every aspect of the dinner and the staff with never-ending praise. This was, without question, an evening that I will never forget.

Geranium is is a gastronomic experience without easy comparison to any other restaurant. It’s amazing and the execution is truly incredible. It’s all a work of art and service was warm and impeccable. Dinner includes a small tour of wine cellar and kitchen which is a nice mid meal break. Anyone looking for incredible culinary experience should come. We did the wine pairing for 3 of us and 2 others did the juice pairing.

World's Best Restaurant in 2022. It's an absolutely unreal experience. The staff are extremely friendly and talkative, which is quite unique in these settings. The views from the restaurant are beyond gorgeous. Very few restaurants have such picturesque views. The tour of the wine cellar and kitchen were a very fun added bonus too!

Expect a meat-less menu - lots of vegetables, fruit, and fish. That's fine though because it's absolutely incredible. Allot about 4 to 5 hours for lunch. If you typically do wine pairings, this is your chance to break your habit and try the juice pairings. You absolutely won't regret that decision.

Good luck getting a reservation!

An incredible experience at Geranium. Each dish was very intricately and delicately designed in terms of their taste, textures, and presentation. The waitstaff were extremely attentive and friendly. We also got a tour of their incredible wine cellar and the kitchen.

Felt like visiting heaven when you get out of the elevator. Everything was so Nordic smooth. Great service from entry to exit.
The food was beautiful decorated like art. The taste was great. Good pitch with a round tour to kitchen and wine "cellar". Everything was catered.
Hope to be back some day.

My review is from 2019. When I went to Geranium then, it was one of the few three Michelin Star restaurants that I could find, and with a bit of planning ahead of time, I was able to get a table for two during my visit to Denmark.

This was my first Michelin start restaurant experience, so I didn't know what to expect. But here is a short summary: it is an experience, not just a meal.

We sat there for over 4 hours, and got to enjoy great conversation as course after course of amazing, and extremely beautiful food kept coming our way.... all the while having wine pairings that only enhanced the experience.

I also appreciated the commitment to local, fresh, and sustainable sources for their food.

And finally, their wine collection was rather impressive, which they let you take a tour of.

And naturally, this was not a cheap experience, but looking back on it, I would say it was definitely worth it..... even though we ended up going to McDonald's afterwards for a meal.

My best dining experience yet! From start to finish, the experience was fabulous. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The presentation of each and every dish took aesthetically pleasing to a whole new level and the flavors were right up there! One of the most exciting thing about a 3-star restaurant is trying new flavor profiles that are used in unusual and creative ways - which Geranium did absolutely perfectly! A true culinary adventure and an experience I will remember for the rest of my life! If you have the opportunity to go - don’t miss out!

Geranium was phenomenal. You walk into the lobby and hear star wars themed music. It's because they're light years ahead of most other restaurants. Laura their host was most welcoming. They present their menu at the beginning which I appreciate - sets the tone for the meal. My favorite dishes included the lightly smoked black Roe, boiled beetroot and white truffle/cauliflower servings. The whole menu was extremely balanced in terms of flavors. Exquisite execution. Raffaele, Karolina, Andrea, Jackie and the whole team really deliver outstanding service. They treated me like family. Can't recommend this experience enough to anyone planning to visit Copenhagen - its a meal I'll remember forever.

Let's start from the beginning. I reserved a table for two back in late June to dine in late September. I saw this restaurant in multiple YouTube videos years ago and I have been waiting for this moment since college. It did not fail to meet the hype I've built up. We arrived and there was already someone at the door to escort us to the restaurant on the top floor. Our jackets were taken and sat in a large table. They noticed I drank with my left hand and remembered to set my utensils on my dominant side. I appreciate that attention to details and reminded what true professionals they were compared to my experience in the US.

The dishes were fantastic. The 19 courses were definitely planned down to the order they were served in. From the gentle flavors in the appetizers to the full immersion of umami flavors, perfectly timed break to give a tour through the restaurant before the delicious desserts. I loved that personal touch before the desserts. We even were introduced to the head chef, Rasmus Kofoed. It was truly an honor to meet a pioneer of the culinary field.

Many dishes were ingenious displays of their R&D such as the snail eggs that reminded me of concentrated truffle beads. I would certainly come back next time I visit Copenhagen again.
