Restaurant & Cafe Nytorv

Very cozy restaurant with an old fashioned interior.

Went here because it was the only place that still had tables left, but we're definitely not disappointed.

The meals were very nicely presented, and the service was quite fast. Fish as well as risotto tasted delicious, as were the desserts (crème brulee and pancakes).

On top of that the restaurant is not at all expensive for Danish standards, so it's a great bang for buck deal.

Had an early dinner at about 4.30pm... ordered 2 mains, the roasted pork and halibart... both were yummy and portion were enough for our appetite.

The restaurant offers classic Danish dishes right around the corner of Nytorv square overlooking Copenhagen City Hall. It has a rustic atmosphere and is laid-back enough to hang around and slow-walk my dinner. The tables outside on the steps were perfect for lingering over coffee and pastries, while lower down in the dining hall was sumptuous Scandinavian cuisine just waiting to be devoured. I passed by this place a few times while touring the area, and there's always a buzz of activity. It wasn't on my list initially, but my guide pointed out this as a good alternative when Restaurant Kronborg wasn't available.

We went to this place four years ago and loved it. Hence we remembered it when we returned. An absolutely lovely Cafe with fantastic staff, brilliant. We had multiple items from the menu and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality. Lialia? You and your team were amazing. Hopefully see you again during our travels x

We went there when we didn't have any reservations, the staff were very friendly and gave us a table right away, food was very delicious and the place had nice music with nice atmosphere.

Amazing restaurant in the heart of Copenhaguen. Excellent traditional danish food and the service were very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

The food was fantastic! Best we had with my wife during our 3 day stay in Sweden and Denmark. The prices were acceptable, taking into account how expensive Denmark is.

The restaurant is rather small but very nice and clean. The food arrived soon despite a lot of guests during lunch time. It seemed that the only guests were locals, I didn't see any tourists so it means this is the real Danish thing!

I definetely reccommend this place and hope to re-visit some day.

Very Danish restaurant doing a lovely tasting Juleplatter which is just what we went in for on our traditional Christmas lunch with friends. Recommended if traditional Danish is what you are looking for.

This place is amazing! We really enjoyed the food, which was DELICIOUS! And the staff is really nice and caring. I truly recommend this place if you’re looking for a very good restaurant where you can eat danish specialties 😊 .

Reasonable price for the area

First Time in Copenhagen and we haven't got disappointed. Food and portions are amazing. The place is lovely and enjoyable .. the staff was available and kind. Hope to come back again

Nice Restaurant, where we met 2 kind people who help us visit the town & go to the right places. We didn't know the sandwich was local menue, so don't hesitate and take that! Because in France, Sandwich is "fast food" so bad quality. But here it's the thing to do :) Nice restaurant, calm, fast service, really good.

Excellent place to eat typical local dishes. We tasted two pork dishes and they were delicious. The staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.
