Café Norden

Pros: personal opinion but the burger here is the best I have ever eaten. Absolutely amazing ingredient quality. The building design is also cool with outdoor, indoor, and upstairs seating in a bustling part of Copenhagen.

Cons: it was a little difficult to order as a foreigner.

Great spot for lunch and people-watching
Traditional Danish cafe with seating upstairs and downstairs as well as table and chairs outside, all overlooking the pretty Storkespring andet (Stork Fountain) and pedestrian area.
They have a great food menu with everything from traditional danish open sandwiches to soups and salad, and everything in between.
You order and pay at the counter, and they will bring it out to you. Food was delicious and they also have a good selection of wines.

Beautiful place to have food. It can be a little hectic in here at times (you pay at the counter and then take your seat with a little number) but it’s well worth it. Food was fantastic and you get to watch the world go by in stork square.
The open sandwich was a winner

A must do in Copenhagen. Their portions are very generous and the food is absolutely delicious! I had the Smørrebrød, which is the traditional Danish open sandwich and it was extraordinary and included a piece of desert, aside from the three open sandwiches that make the dish. You can select the toppings.

Delicious restaurant. Large dishrs. Prices are not cheap but the dishes justify the price. kind service. Pleasant atmosphere

My favorite cafe in Copenhagen for brunch 😍 I love this place because it has a good atmosphere, wonderful location, delicious food with a high variety and the waiters/waitresses are friendly.

The Smørrebrød here is delicious. The portions easily one and a half meals so be ready to share. With three options a plate, it's a great meal to share with another entree or a couple of apps.

Unbeatable atmosphere to chillax after walking around.

The strawberry tart is lit, probably one of the most delicious strawberry tarts I have ever had.

The tea and hot chocolate are nice as well.

A lovely place to visit with amazing food.. A burger that trumps all other burgers, and amazing drinks. Will definitely be going back sometime soon.

I still dream about this amazing tomato soup that they have. Coffee is also good, dip the gingerbread cookies in it!

Highly recommend! We had the open face sandwich and it was delicious. When dining downstairs, you order at the counter and then they bring the food to you. I recommend going up to get the English menu first or look it up on your phone so you know what to get once it's your turn. Both the sandwich and latte was delicious!

Café Norden
I was recommended this place as the cafe with the most instagramable smørrebrøds. And we came there to have a snack.
First thing that impressed me was abundance of strollers and prams near the entrance. Which was a good sign, that this cafe is kids-friendly.
We had a nice table near the window, it was very pleasant to sit there and enjoy the view to Christmas market.
When the food arrived, I was impressed again. It was beautiful. And it was tasty.
Moreover, in cafe Norden we have received an email with a very expected and pleasant news, so it’s definitely a reason to remember it.
I suppose, when the weather is more favorable, it must be very pleasant to sit outside and enjoy tasty and beautiful, extremely instagramable food.

This is a expensive place, that has much to be expensive about.

It’s a bit overcrowded at times, but the staff gets 6 stars, the food 5 stars and the atmosphere 5 stars. So it’s clear why it cost 60DKK for a coffee and usually is in the very high end price wise.

If you take a table by the window, you can see all of Copenhagen go by - incl. the Royal Guards at 11:40-11:45ish.

Brunch is great also.

We didn't eat here, but we had plenty of 'glogg' at Christmas time! Absolutely delicious drinks served beautifully. Although pricey, the ambience is great and the views of the Square are beautiful. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our breakfast here. The food was excellent and the presentation was really nice. You can see how they prepare the food in the kitchen behind the bar and it is a nice thing to see because it is a carefully decorated kitchen. The price is a bit high but it is definitely worth it

Perfect location, great drinks and delicious food. The portions are big and easy for two to share, which makes the cost more reasonable.

Always crowded with both local danes and tourist. Good location and good food. A bit pricey but also big portions. He highly recommended! I have tried the tuna sandwich, tomato soup, burger, nachos. All good!

Cozy place for good coffee and nice chat woth your friends. They have upgraded their menus. Super good healthy nutritious food and GREAT coffee I give it as one of my fav. Places in downtown

The Norden Brunch (available on Sundays) is a great way to start the day. The cafe's atmosphere is charming and comfortable with a friendly wait staff.

Gorgeous old fashioned cafe with great food and special coffees. The pastry is top notch, pictured here is the hindbærsnitter. It looks like a raspberry Pop Tart. And it is, but a million times better than any Pop Tart has ever been! Upstairs is nicer and quieter.
