Delightful restaurant with street dining and courtyard space also. Lovely chilled fish and rich, grainy bread. Perfect light lunch with smiling service.

Delicious, simple, and worth a stop in for the staff! The staff were attentive and friendly. I recommend the marinated fish and grab a beer on tap! Cute pup made us even more welcome -

Great introduction to traditional Danish cuisine. OMG can’t wait to dine there again! I had some dietary restrictions and the owner modified recipes for me on the spot! The server spent 5 minutes answering our questions and explaining Danish cooking. The food was amazing!!

Old school Danish dishes. We enjoyed herrings, meatballs and pan fried plaice, the last of which was recommended by the owner. All of them will never betray your expectation. Reservation is must.

Happened upon this place over lunchtime and the young man serving made us feel very welcome. It was obviously busy with locals (a good sign), but they found us a table.
Food and beer were great and well worth the money.

Lovely open-faced sandwiches (smørrebrød)! You can even get them in the evening, making this a unique restaurant in that regard. Go here before hitting the city and have some beer, schnaps and traditional Danish food - or go here for a lunch with your family. Highly recommending this place with its personal and genuine service!

Was visiting Copenhagen and stopped by here for lunch. Seating was fast, service was super awesome. I'm just blown away by everyone so accommodating... All speak English and there is nothing to worry about when it comes to communicating. Food was a true Danish experience . .....healthy ... delicious and very affordable... Will definitely be back again for more when next in town...

This is an absolutely delicious restaurant that I cannot recommend that highly enough if you like Danish food or interested in experiencing it. Huge diversity of options to eat. Take a look at their menu online and you'll see what I mean. Note that it is called a lunch restaurant. But that doesn't mean it is only open midday, it just means that the menu is the same ( more lunch-like) for the evening as well.

Very nice staff and fantastic herrings.
I took the herrings plate which was delicious and took the cheese plate for desert which was alright.
The beer was good too.
The waitress was very kind and we had a nice chat about marathon.
This place has an excellent vibe and I'd highly recommend to dine there if you're around.

A really nice local family run restaurant. Traditional simple dishes we’ll cooked, presented and severed quickly. Staff are welcoming and happy to pace their service with how fast you want to eat, as previous reviewer have stated for a full meal you may need to order 2 dishes, but have a break between the 2 dishes! I’m going back.

Superb lunch venue. Booked a table for 8 people for a late lunch. Had a variety of open sandwiches which were all really good. Best to pick 2 (maybe 3 if hungry) and be adventurous! I had smoked eel with scrambled egg then salt beef with liver pate. All washed down with a few local beers and couple of glasses of schnapps. The staff were great and really friendly and the decor is best described as eclectic. Lots of odd pieces of china and pictures. Highly recommend.

Great food and service! Not particularly expensive for Copenhagen (mad expensive if you compare it to the rest of the eu)

Great atmosphere - Delicious food and smiling staff.
At Tivolihallen they may be a bit too busy - but if you relax and let them do their job - it's a perfect experience.

Remember plenty of beer and snaps!

Lovely small Danish restaurant having a casual and warm vibe with extremely friendly staff.
They gave us an English menu with photos which helped us make decisions.
We had some pork and herrings, both tasted great. The herrings were in three different sauces as we had no idea which one we should pick, thus the staff recommended to do so.
We stayed pretty late, but the staff never asked us to leave and remained smiley which I felt sweet and grateful.
