Highly recommended, it’s this good that we dined in twice during our short trip to Copenhagen. We ordered the Apoteker plate on New Year’s eve, it was one hearty meal with traditional Danish food, we were so stuffed towards the end!

We then revisited and tried the homemade Patty Shell as we saw quite a few customers had them on our first visit and it didn’t disappoint!

Love the traditional interior, really good service too.

This was one of the tastiest dishes I ate in Copenhagen. Here you can find typical danish food. The meat was super smooth and I love the flavors yummmy
The service was friendly and helpful - I felt good there 😊
I recommend this restaurant - check it out when you’re in Copenhagen 🇩🇰😊

We were just lucky to find a reservation at this place. Highly recommended booking a table in advance. The food and service was spot on. The decor takes you back in time. Loved the time spent here over dinner. The smoked salmon was the best I’ve had.

You’re in Copenhagen? (Highly recommended)
Wanna try the local traditional food?
Don’t search a lot! Just come here!
You might be chocked when you see that a dish coats 30€!
But trust me, it worth every cent!
A huge portion (you won’t need an appetizer) fresh ingredients from the meat to the potatoes to the garnish and the greens!
Outstanding roasted duck (it’s a complete half duck)
Excellent veal! The sauce is from heaven and I never liked peas as I did here!
The service is excellent and the staff nailed everything from the welcoming to every single detail, with a huge smile!

I went after lunch hours to avoid the crowd. Wonderful crispy pork on bread. Service and atmosphere were great - friendly and warm. Highly recommend - again, after the usual meal hours.

Lovely traditional Danish food in the oldest Danish restaurant in Copenhagen. Frequented by H. C. Andersen. Must have the pork!

Visited at dinner time, just before the kitchen closed at 20:30.

Ordered:
1 x local pilsner
1 x diet Coke
1 x jug of tap water [free if you purchase other drinks]
2 x Flæskesteg
1 x homemade old-fashioned apple pie
1 x rum ball

* we recommend the flæekesteg*

Bill price: circa £40pp

If more than one portion of the flæekesteg is ordered, you will receive a platter to serve yourself.

Note: the apple pie is more akin to a cold apple crumble with cream

As a Dane living abroad it was an excellent and authentic experience dining at ‘Det Lille Apotek’ back in Denmark. The food was delicious and legitimate traditional Danish food, the ambience was homey and authentic, but the best part was our waiter (Henrik) who was sublime! I would any day recommend both tourist but also Danish people to make a visit to this place.

The staffs here are really friendly, witty, and helpful! They were helpful in describing the menu and they are witty too. Top marks here.

The food is amazing too! I ordered the apoteke stew and it's a treat to eat. It has a very nice tomato based sauce, bacon's, cocktail sausages and pork slices. The accompanying mashed potato is soft and fluffy. It's just a shame that the portion is far too large for me and I couldn't finish it =/

As a started I was recommended to take the pastry shell with chicken and asparagus. It's heavenly. The pastry shell is fluffy yet crunchy at the same time.. The certre filling is heavenly.

You will not regret coming here to eat.

This is such a unique experience restaurant. It's the oldest in Copenhagen (although not the original location. The 1720 location burned down, and they reopened in this location in the 1800s). It is rustic and charming inside.
We were celebrating my birthday. We made a reservation for 6:00 but ending up arriving 30 minutes prior. No problem! They were able to seat us right away.
You feel the history of this restaurant in the ambiance and the cuisine.
Delicious flavors! I had the beetroot tartar and the duck. My husband had the smoke salmon and the stew. My father had the salmon tartar and the pork roast. For dessert, I had a rumball and coffee while my husband had the meringue. My father had a linie. We were stuffed and so content walking out!

A hidden gem!

I visited on 12 and 13 June as a solo traveler. Henry my waiter was especially friendly and gave wonderful recommendations.

The Danish salmon was delightful and the apple crumble I had was just delectable! I had no shame telling my mother her 'worlds best crumble' had been usurped by Det Lille Apotek.

When I returned the next day for an equally impressive breakfast, I was also treated with a free port curtesy of my waiter Henry. Can't thank him enough for his company and service.

Definitely worth the money even if the exchange rate isn't in your favour.

I highly recommend eating here. I've already told a number of friends about this restaurant and are sending them Henry's way.

Perfect choice for a classic Danish meal. The portions are HUGE so recommend sharing a starter and dessert or skipping right to mains.

The building is an old chemist but opened in 1720 as a restaurant and has been “dispensing their own form of medicine ever since.” 😂

The pork roast was incredible juicy on the inside and the crispiest crackling. Duck was super tender also with the crispy skin! Highly recommend and the staff were lovely.

This is a little gem in the heart of Copenhagen. A very characteristic place that like a time machine will throw you back in time by 300-400 years.
The staff was kind and also accommodated some of my requests to swap some ingredients in dishes :)

Highly recommended!

Friendly staff and great service. Had a fulfilling meal, my best danish food experience throughout my weekend stay at Copenhagen. Worth the price, portion is big too

Excellent Danish food. Really enjoyed the pickled herring. Portions are large and filling so order accordingly. The staff was full of character and entertaining. The space is appropriately loud for the casual atmosphere. Ask about H.C. Anderson's table.

The place looks a bit touristy, but turned out to be decent. The food was great - we tried fried plaice and meat stew. There are a few local craft beers available. The interior has some nice charm.

My family and I had another great evening at Det Lille Apotek. It is our go to place for proper Danish classic food. The waiters are always super friendly and smiling. The food is fantastic and it comes to the table quite quickly even. Lovely! We will see you next time we gather the family in Copenhagen.

As I have an international Job and have many visitors coming to Denmark for meetings I have been in many restaurants in Copenhagen. Again and again I come back to the "Lille Apotek" and can only give the best reccomendations for a visit. Our customers still remember after years.
