The Funen Village is worth a visit. You travel back in time to see how life was like in the 1800s. You get to go into pretty much all the buildings and get a real feeling how it was like to live in these structures. It’s also pretty cool that they have some farm animals here as well.

The entrance to this place is through the modern looking building close to the main road. Parking is plentiful.

A self sustainable village with ways that have withstood the change of time and evolution of mankind & one that will still hold good in many more years to come. A must visit if you are in Odense 🇩🇰 with or without family. Untouched nature and a complete throwback in 16th to 18th century history of a Danish farmland. Few important things : 1. If you are visiting Odense and do drop by Hans Christian Andersen’s house museum you do get 50% off on Funen Village entry ticket but only if you buy the ticket at the village (don’t buy tickets for this place online) in that case. 2. For the horse carriage ride, you can buy tickets at the reception in case you are not carrying cash (the horseman will not give change if you pay him in €). There is a nice Resturant in the farm ,
But I would recommend carrying your own lunch as it is much cheaper and you can eat at one of the many picnic tables while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Very nice place to go back in to the history of Denmark! The park is nice, well maintained, clean and the staff is very friendly. Prices are good for what you get. For kids it is also nice, for the small once you can use wagons to go around because the park is quite big ( my kids 5 & 3 years) lost their interest half way. If they are a bit older it should be good. We loved it and recommend this!!

Was a lovely stop on our way to Aero. Perfect for kids, our one year old had a blast there! It s filled with lovely farm animals and they have great sandwiches at the restaurant. Plus the grownups will enjoy the beautiful architecture of these old style danish houses! Great place!

Must-go place in Odense. It is a reverse time machine and brings the 19 century back to today. The carriage ride is 25 DKK per person and it gives a quick tour of the village. After that, we walked through many rooms to see the demo. Black smith, weaving, farming, wind mile. The HC Anderson show was a highlight, too. Don’t miss it. Unfortunately, the two actors did not perform in English, but we still enjoyed it. It opens at 10AM in summer. We drove there and parking was easy in the morning, and free. Also, they provides wagons for free in case you have little kids. However, the number of wagons is limited, and you may not get one if you come late.

Nice open air museum makes you feel like in the old days. Plenty of authentic buildings as well as windmill and watermill. Many activities for kids. Domestic animals and crops. Worth visiting.

Visiting the village was a great way to learn about how the people of Fynen lived in the past. I enjoyed the video presentation in the beginning and the village was really beautiful and there was info in English. You can also see the animals they keep(pigs, cows etc). I also highly recommend the restaurant/cafe inside.

Interesting museum about life on Fyn in the 1800s. Super well taken care of, and overall a nice walk with lots to see. An extra star for the fact that dogs are welcome, also inside the houses. Super nice!

The Village, is lovely to see. Here you can see how People lived in old farmhouses they are moved from around the funen to the museum. We spend here around 3 hours. The Village is about 15 minuts biking from odense.

We had a great couple of hours exploring the property. I highly recommend downloading the audio guide and taking the 110/111 instead of the 35 bus.

If you around or passing through the city, you must check out Funen Village. It’s a place where the time shifts backwards. You will be able to see how people lived their live in the near past and how they entertained their selves. They offer explanation and description for every thing in English.

I visited the place as a part of a family vacation. Our only problem was the hot weather due to the wave that was hitting Europe, so try not to go there during hot sunny days.

I'll sure there's plenty said about this place. But the most beloved thing about it is that nothing changes.
It's all always been there, royalty, working classes, chickens and dirty pigs snorting sludge.
The restaurant service is very good. The food is a bit too Danish but hey, you're in Denmark.

Amazing experience! Seeing a cow being milked, then the piglets having that milk for lunch. Holding kittens and analysing how a water mill works, how it differs from a windmill. A truly stunning day! We also took a ride with a local carriage, since with the little ones it's just a bit too big :)) anyhow - perfect!
