I would very highly recommend this place for any kind of party if you are on the island of Æro.

We had our wedding here in April 2024 and it was magical. Jacob and Gertrude are fantastic people and were very helpful to us even though we gave them a very short notice they did everything in their power to make it perfect for us.
The restaurant has a very unique interior with every piece of decoration having a story behind it.(which they will gladly explain if you ask).
The food was phenomenal, everything was fresh and delicious. They had a 3 course meal cooked fresh especially for us. They even baked a wedding cake for us.(for a very good price, no overcharging just because it’s a wedding party)
Gertrude sang a traditional Danish wedding song for us and it was unforgettable.
In general they made us feel very much at home, with the added personal touch that is hard to find when you are in a hotel.
The bar was also fully equipped with both local and the well known selection of beer, wine, champagne and spirits on the menu.(everyone will find something they like)

Again, I would recommend this place for anyone planning to get married in Æro.
5/5 stars, it was perfect and all the guests were very happy as well.

We will definitely come back for our anniversary in 12 and a half years 😉

The most amazing place you could ask for, it really feels like the heartbeat of the island. The food is probably the most authentic and tasty I've ever had anywhere in the world, the amount of stories placed on the walls and the welcoming nature of the hosts makes you feel like you're part of their home/family. I would go back to Denmark only to come back to Landbogården!

We had our wedding dinner for 25 guests here. The owners (Jacob and Gertrud) supported us in every way they can. As we live in Germany, we had phone conversations regarding the menu, decoration and the arrangements. They customized the menu for our needs. Gertrud even sang a beautiful song for us and also arranged a danish wedding tradition. The food was amazing. The decoration was just great. Wedding cake was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our wedding dinner. One of the best decisions we made on our wedding. Our guests really enjoyed the night here.

Amazing experience ! Everything was perfect, the service, the place and decoration, the music and of course the cuisine.
We try the duck orange sandwich and the Barbapapa in the garden. Certainly one of the most delicious sandwiches in our lives.

I loved this place so much I went back the next night! Amazing food, very friendly service and quirky decor. Highly recommend! It might be an idea to book for dinner as it can get quite busy. I had the duck below, berry compote with cream for dessert, and the previous night the spicy meatballs, they were all phenomenal!

Wonderful and delightful little restaurant in the heart of Ærøskøbing. Their potato “open faced” sandwiches are amazing and a unique take on a classic danish dish. Nice selection of beers and a very cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommend it.

Amazing hosts. The restaurant is essentially their home. Simple idea: one meat dish, one vegetarian. You must try the walnut beer that's brewed on the island.

If i had more stars to give i would kindly do it!
My wife, me and a looooot of people (our 20 wedding guests) popped up out of nowhere and Gertrud (bar tender) managed that situation in such a calm, humorous and welcoming way, that we immediately felt to be at the right place.
We had the opportunity to play our own music and all of a sudden a dance floor had been organized by the lovely staff.
All in all we had a beautiful time (party) there with a fantastic service and support.
It´s a well equipped bar with a nice selection of awesome craft beers and a cozy interior.
Fully recommended!

Wow wow wow! We had a fully vegan wedding lunch here for 9 people. I inquired in advance if it would be possible to have a wedding lunch here that is entirely vegan. The staff were really accommodating and sent many suggestions. When we were there, we had several courses and everything was really delicious. We had bread with spreads, tomato soup, potato pizza, mini burgers, dhal, and vegan ice cream. Everything was freshly made and most things were even grown locally. I can recommend this place to anyone who is looking for good food. We will definitely come back.

We had a very nice experience here. Quite traditional danish food but with an exotic twist. Very friendly service and cosy restaurant. Will definitely come back when we are on the island again

We popped in late looking for a meal when everything else on the island was closed. We were greeted by the friendliest staff, offered a delicious vegetarian meal and were treated to some live music in the courtyard. It totally made our day!

We had our wedding lunch in the afternoon at Landbogåden. Jacob and Gertrud are incredible hosts. Not only the nice food served impressed, but also the way Gertrud took care and entertained all of us. Each one of our guests left the place with lots of happiness and memories on that day. I would say our day became extra special because of Gertrud. She's btw a good singer ;).
Also we had a tasty wedding cake with fresh strawberry which Gertrud made.
You feel that Jacob and Gertrud love what they're doing, so if there were 6 stars to give I'd give 7. Thank you so much again!

The staff was very attentive, the food was perfect, and the local whiskey from Ærø was really good.

We celebrated our wedding in Landbogården with ~ 25 people and it was wonderful!! We had some Danish wedding traditions and had the best Party we could have wished for. Thank you to the Team for making our wedding so special!!

went here with my wife for dinner on the day of our wedding and not only did we get some delicious meal we also got the owner to sing for us which was magical. what an experience! it was wonderful

We used Landbogaarden as the location for our welcoming dinner the night before our wedding. We had a fantastic experience, and the owners were extraordinarily welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant offered a choice between a set meat and vegetarian dish (the dishes differ from day to day), but also served us a small appetizer of foie gras, and then surprised us with a very well-received fruit cake that they had created especially for our party! Many of our guests also enjoyed their selection of beers (which we, unfortunately, can’t recall, as we didn’t participate). Compared to other Ærø restaurants, the food is very affordable and relatively simple, but quite tasty, and the ambiance is charming and warm.

When we arrived, the owners introduced themselves and got to know us a bit, and proceeded to interact with us and explain the various dishes as the evening proceeded. Some of our guests were arriving late to the island, and couldn’t let us know in advance if they would show up, but all did in the end, and were accommodated without any trouble. Four in fact arrived to grab the last bits of cake right about as the restaurant was closing, but the owners kept the kitchen open a bit longer and served the late arrivals meals, as well, and let us spend more time together as they ate.

If you’re coming with a large party, be sure to book well in advance, as our party of 16 already took up more than half the space in the restaurant. We very wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant for any small to medium-sized party (or perhaps larger, if you can book the whole place!).

Really cute restaurant. Three nice items on the menu prepared with products from the island Even for one of my friends with some allergie they prepared a really nice dinner. Personel was really friendly and were there to take care of us!
A good meal for hungry sailors in a nice ambiance! It's a recommendation!
