Waldfriede Hospital

Hands down the best hospital experience in Berlin I ever had.
I came in for an emergency, everyone was very friendly but also very efficient - it felt like the perfect mix of care and no time wasted to tend to other people with emergencies.
I was out within an hour and a half even though I had an X-Ray done, so thanks again for the great professionalism!

I decided for the Waldfriede General Hospital to have a hysterectomy due to uterine sarcoma (2022). I found the doctors here to be highly competent, thorough and caring, and the nursing staff equally so. The hospital’s psychologist came to speak to speak to me about the upcoming procedure, which I was to learned was not usual. All in all, I would rate my stay 5 stars. The only downside was the food, which I guess is par for the course.

I had a good experience here. The nurses and doctors were all very kind, thorough, and helpful. My German isn’t good, and in the past I have been treated poorly at hospitals because of this, but this didn’t happen here. There was even one nurse who spoke no English but she used Google translate on her phone to communicate with me.

The one downside is that it is a disorganized place. Both times I came here (for my consultation then my surgery) I was sent back and forth between different wards when I was trying to check in; everyone I spoke to was telling me I needed to be somewhere different. But this minor inconvenience was worth it for the great care.

Very great hospital. Read the reviews before I went but they really treated me well so grateful. Nurses and doctors are efficient.

Our experience here was beyond words. We couldn't be more grateful to have had our first born daughter born here. The midwives, doctors, the entire staff was unbelievably kind, friendly, warm, supportive and professional. We really can't say enough about our experience from walking into the maternity wing at 3:30am until we left 4 days later.

I was admitted there and am very grateful to them for helping me swiftly. Most of them spoke English were very kind and patient, took very good care of me. The hospital is clean, very nice and knowledgeable doctors and nurses! Thank you!

The staff are so lovely here. Very communicative, and genuinely kind. They made the effort to speak English for me. I am able to speak German, but medical stuff sometimes escape me, especially when nervous about an operation. This really helped!
And what a lovely garden.

Best hospital and staff. They were very professional, and it took about 1:30 since arrived, until they spoke with me, and I took an x ray, what is way faster than any other hospital in Berlin. I strongly recommend.

I can highly recommend the maternity ward (Kreißsaal) here at Waldfriede. I was very impressed by the quality of the medical treatment. The midwives and doctors spoke english, and took the time to guide us through the process so kindly. Overall very positive experience.

Szpital na obrzeżach Berlina,właściwie to na jego drugim końcu. Ładna okolica,dużo zieleni i pięknych,starych wysokich sosen,w pobliżu przystanek autob.i stacja paliw. Możliwość zaparkowania auta wzdłuż ulicy ktòra przylega do szpitala(ciężko ale jest to możliwe)Miła i profesjonalna obsługa,myślę wielonarodowa,byłam jako osoba towarzysząca mężowi podczas rutynowej wizyty i infuzji dożylnej,czułam się zauważona przez personel,zadbano nie tylko o komfort mojego męża podczas kolejnej wizyty,ale również mój komfort psych.i fizyczny. Cieszę się,że pojechałam razem z nim,wiem,że jest w dobrych rękach.

Ich war im Waldfriede in der Rettungsstelle in Behandlung und danach noch im ambulanten OP-Zentrum. Das Pflegepersonal ist extrem freundlich, fürsorglich und ich habe mich sehr sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Die Ärzte sind sehr freundlich und nehmen sich ausführlich Zeit für die Patienten. Das gesamte Personal, egal mit wem ich Kontakt hatte, war durchweg super lieb und zuvorkommend. Ich möchte mich ganz herzlich beim gesamten Team für die gute Betreuung bedanken, meine Ängste vor der OP habt ihr mir schnell genommen! Einfach ein sehr tolles Team!

Ich habe mich sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Das Personal war nett und zuvorkommend, die Ärzte bemüht und kompetent. Es ist ruhig gelegen, umrahmt von Bäumen und grün, sodass man sich gut, abseits vom Trubel der Stadt erholen kann. Sollte ich nochmal ins Krankenhaus müssen, würde ich wieder das Waldfriede Krankenhaus wählen!

Ich hatte am Abend einen kleineren Unfall bei Fleischschneiden mit einem sehr scharfen und schweren Messer. Dabei habe ich mir eine tiefe blutende Schnittwunde zugezogen die ich selber nicht mehr behandeln konnte.
Im Waldfrieden wurde mir sehr rasch und liebevoll geholfen. Sehr sauber vernäht und alle waren super nett. Vielen lieben Dank nochmal an die tolle und empathische Belegschaft 🫶🏽

Ich bin sehr gut fachlich aufgeklärt , die Ärztinnen waren sehr professionelle und einfühlsam, haben eine hervorragende medizinische Arbeit geleistet.
Auf Station 3 war das Personal nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend, ich habe mich sehr gut betreut gefühlt.

Vor ein paar Jahren wurde mir das Waldfriede empfohlen und ich bin bis heute begeistert. Das Haus ist zwar schon etwas älter und einige Gebäude sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Daher sollte man nicht davon ausgehen, dass für jeden Patienten ein Einzelzimmer zur Verfügung steht oder man zu jeder Zeit und an jedem Ort perfekten Zugang zum Internet hat.
Auch kann es passieren, dass mal etwas mit der Terminierung nicht passt oder man das Personal auf dem falschen Fuß erwischt.
DOCH dass man sich bei dem Patienten dann auch persönlich entschuldigt ist außergewöhnlich. Das Einfühlungsvermögen des Pflegepersonals ist enorm und wann immer möglich wird sich Zeit genommen sich deren Ängste und Nöte anzunehmen. Zudem ist die fachliche Kompetenz und der Einsatz für den Patienten, meines Erachtens, auf allen Ebenen mehr als gegen.

Meine Hochachtung dafür!

Schließlich ist das Vertrauensverhältnis zwischen Arzt, Pflegepersonal und Patient unabdingbar für Diagnostik, Behandlung und Genesung.

Seit einigen Jahren bin ich nun immerwieder im Waldfriede zu Untersuchungen und ich muss sagen: Mir ist noch kein Krankenhaus, mit so freundlichem und zuvorkommenden Personal, begegnet in dem man sich in medizinischer und menschlicher Hinsicht so gut aufgehoben fühlt.
