A unique cafe where marzipan is the center of attention whether it's the cakes and treats and even in their excellent coffee! This is a distinct spot from the main niederegger Cafe on the 2nd floor of the store just behind this Cafe. This one is cozy, great for people watching on the square, has a large patio area, clean washrooms, and friendly service where English is well spoken by the welcoming staff.

Vienniese style cafe. Wide selection of marcipan cakes which were not to sickly sweet, tasty. Lovely coffee. Nice pit stop while in Lubeck.

extremely nice place, marzipan is worth sampling. I thought it was going to be too sweet but it’s just right! The place looks expensive but is not.

Excellent coffee shop. I had the vegetarian breakfast made of fruits, vegetables, tzatziki and some tomato and dill spread. I also ordered a marzipan infused coffee and tea. Everything was excellent and came in copious quantities! We didn't have to wait much and the service was ok.
They do not have an English menu so grab a German speaking friend with you!

A visit to this Café is a MUST. Whenever in Europe, a trip to the many lovely coffee houses is truly a delight, and Niederegger is no exception. Wow! The almond-paste ("Marzipan") cakes are so tasty here. The cakes look like pieces of art. The coffee is good, too. As far as prices are concerned, I found them to be reasonable.

Huge variety of cakes. The green tea was also very tasty. Service was exceptionally fast and very friendly. We had a conversation about the tea ingredients and she made us try another of her favorite teas.

Lübeck Marzipan (German: Lübecker Marzipan) refers to marzipan originating from the city of Lübeck in northern Germany! Lübeck, as the capital of the Hanseatic League, was an important trading hub, which insured a steady supply of ingredients. Consequently, in the 18th century, the marzipan produced in Lübeck started becoming well known for its high quality, due to its high almond content. Unmissable!

With a thrill of anticipation for marzipan we came to Lübeck. Our first stop was the Arcades Cafe - the cake was excellent, the marzipan ice cream cup was missing the marzipan taste. Still yummy. Next we saw the Niederegger museum across the street and paid a visit to the brand store. Probably the most important landmark in Lübeck :-)

Crazy busy, but it didn't take long for a table to free up. The staff are great, fast, professional and very polite.

One of my favourite places to have a coffee and the traditional Marzipan delicacies in Lubeck in the morning.

All cakes with almond and marzipan. There’s no cake menu, so you need to check inside what’s available.

The place is highly recommended.. The coffee with marzipan is something that will you want to drink more. One of the must try in Lübeck. The Café is also surrounded with beautiful structures that gives a glimpse of ancient times.

Huge variety of marzipan food. I liked the upstairs area. Staff seemed quite busy and we had to wait a little bit to be served, but it was definitely worth it.

There's also a huge marzipan shop on the ground floor, good stuff for souvenirs.

Wonderfully scenic and convenient outdoor dining spot on a square next to the Rathaus. Service is really friendly plus they have all the Niederegger marzipan cakes and ice cream. The Florentiner sundae — three soups of ice cream (including my favorites, walnut and marzipan) with a generous helping of carmelized nuts — will knock your socks off for eight euros.

If you love Marzipan, you will love this Café. They have coffee and cake with Marzipan. Of course they have "normal" coffee, too. We tried the cake. It was very delicious. Staff was friendly.
