A unique museum! If you go to Bremerhaven, this is a must-see place. 🥰
Before visiting it, we thought it is a normal museum in shape of a submarine with some photos hanging inside it; but it is actually a submarine with all of its real details, furniture and equipment. There is just one level open for visiting, however, there are some cameras for other levels (basement level) and you can control them to see the other sections. As it is a real submarine, the ceiling is not that high, so watch you head during your visit 😇. It is open everyday from 15 March till 10th of November (even on Sundays and holidays).
Although the ticket is very cheap, but you can also get a discount on tickets using your student card 😉

The experience of seeing a submarine from the inside, the small space where a crew of 58 had to work together, and to see so much technology cramped in there, is really a great experience. All information boards are in German and English. To get from one compartment to another, you have to climb through small circular doorways.
And with an entry fee of 3.50 Euro per adult, it is definitely worth seeing.

One of only 4 U Boats exist today and this is one of them. Scuttled in 1945 . Awesome experience to visit a U Boat that caused so much destruction of the Merchant Navy during WWII and it felt poignant as I'm a seafarer . Not expensive. Worth a visit . Very interesting but if you have disability then be aware access inside the submarine requires bending down to get into each section. The Das Boot is in remarkable good condition.

Worth seeing a real 2nd WW submarine from the inside! The engines, a missile, but especially the bedrooms with the bunk beds and the kitchen and the two toilets. The visit will take just about ten minutes, one way through it.

Fantastic and unique experience, much better than expected. It's just what it says, a submarine, and you can go at your own pace through all the sections. Well documented in English and German, and the feeling is kept with well placed speakers producing realistic about engine and tubing noises. A technical marvel.

Amazing history, labeled in both German and English. Audio of U-boat noises throughout the tour. Definitely worth the €3,50 entry fee.

It is really interesting, it worth to visit with children or somebody who is interested in technology. Although they also have those tiny rabbitholes as "doors", which can causes problem for elderly people with some disabilities

It's rare when you can enter a submarine, therefore it was a very good experience. I can only recommend.

You only get to walk through the top deck of the Sub, but for 4€ it was a brief but fun experience.

€3.5 for a lifetime experience? A Big Mac cost more! Super awesome. People with claustrophobia should avoid this one.

Great experience entering a submarine that was built at the end of the 2nd world War but never made it into the battle..

3.5EUR entrance fee - watch out.. The staff there is old and feisty :)

Interesting piece of history, small kids get in for free <6y, but will be uncomfortable for immobile people (which should be for granted, it's a submarine.

About Bremerhaven
City in Germany

Bremerhaven is a city on the east bank of the Weser estuary in northern Germany. It forms an exclave of the city-state of Bremen. The River Geeste flows through the city before emptying into the Weser. Bremerhaven was founded in 1827 as a seaport for Bremen, and it remains one of the busiest ports in the country. It was historically rivalled by Geestemünde on the opposite side of the Geeste, which belonged to Hanover. source
