Amazing view of the Elbe, above-average prices, but the food is delicious, and the service is good, too. Two dark beers with cherry juice + 2 main courses with meat/fish costed us 50 euros. The portions were generous. Comparably simple, but tasty food. Maybe, you shouldn’t expect too much from this architecturally iconic place.

Not so sure where the others are complaining about. Food is great, service is normal, the view is fantastic and the Bauhaus architecture make this a place not to be missed. A mandatory stop for architecture lovers and Elbe cyclists.

The city of Dessau, together with the brewery Schultheiss-Patzenhofer, commissioned the construction of the Kornhaus restaurant in 1929. The building was to be built on the bank of the Elbe river near the steamship dock. The name commemorates a historic granary that stood here until the 1870s.

Tolle Architektur direkt an der Elbe. Sogar die Türklinken sind aus der Bauhausära. Es gibt eine große Terrasse und viel Platz drinnen. Der Service war sehr nett und das Radler hat gut geschmeckt und es gab sogar Himbeerbrause. Der Blick auf's Wasser ist unbezahlbar.

Wir waren Sonntags zum Mittagessen draußen gesessen mit Blick auf die Elbe. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und herzlich begrüßt, zum Platz geführt und unser Hund hat sofort ohne Bitte einen Wassernapf hingestellt bekommen. Die junge Kellnerin die uns dann betreut hat war durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen hat uns allen sehr geschmeckt und wir können es gerne weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an das komplette Team des Kornhaus vom Sonntag, 04.06.2023.
