Meine Kupferschmiede

I am a British national - about to get residency in the area following my wedding to a German woman this May - 2018 . My honest opinion of the many German restaurants I have visited in this County and Germany as a whole, is that whilst the food is often reasonable, service is not Germany's strength!
However, I have visited the Kupferschmiede many times over the last 2 years or so and this place is exceptional in every way! We use this restaurant for family occasions and large group occasions also and will be having our wedding reception there in a few months time!
I have read many of the reviews and find that whilst most are 5 star as this one is, there are sometimes people you cannot please! Some of the negative comments are ridiculous and should not been taken seriously when considering a booking! The setting is in itself unique - positioned in the forest surrounded by a mini zoo! How could this been anything other than special!
The building is typically German and is full of character and history! The inside is cosy and it has an super function room upstairs!
The owner is a totally helpful and nice guy who runs a very well organised team of unusually helpful staff. Service is as good as it gets here!
I have read that the menu is small and uninspiring... Well I would describe it as good business sense! The menu is typically German which is a good thing and has plenty of choice! Portion sizes are large and presentation good! Better to do a core menu extremely well than try and do too much badly!
The place is often busy so book - busy is the best sign that somewhere is good! This is the best restaurant for German food in the are by some way!!

Great place to eat. I had the yager schnitzel and it is one of the three best I ever had.

Very nice restaurant, with an open place with a nice view for the park, attentive service and several delicious options of food, lunches, desserts and coffee.

Fantastic, authentic German cuisine with friendly and helpful staff. Set in a wonderful forest park with deer and other animals.

Meine Kupferschmiede ist unsere Kupferschmiede für alle runden 🎂, diesmal der der schon 75. Geburtstag. Reservierung für 11 Personen klappte perfekt ca. 4 Wochen vor unserem Termin. Sehr freundliche Begrüßung, sehr schön eingedeckter Tisch mit der Jahreszeit entsprechenden Osterglocken. Kerzen auf dem Tisch saubere Tischdecken, sehr schönes Ambiente. Uns überraschte die Freundlichkeit der Bedienung, es wurden Sonderwünsche der Jugend, bitte Soßen vorher kosten sofort erfüllt, hat man nicht so oft! Getränke standen nach 5 min auf dem Tisch , das Essen vorallem die tollen Rumpsteaks kann man nur empfehlen, vielleicht ein Tipp: statt Curry Soße vielleicht Kräuterbutter. Als Deserts kamen Kaiserschmarren, Apfelküchle, ,Wintereis,Eis mit Schokososse und Sahne und Espresso auf den Tisch, alles perfekt 👌, rundum eine gelungene Geburtstagsfeier. Wir verbrachten als Gäste einer Geburtstagsfeier wunderbare Stunden im Arkadensaal (1. OG) der Kupferschmiede. Neben dem tollen Ambiente ist besonders das überaus junge, freundliche, umsichtige, aufmerksame Servicepersonal lobend zu erwähnen. Das Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut und auf den Punkt zubereitet. Ein Spaziergang am angrenzenden Tierpark lässt die Zeit wie im Flug vergehen. Absolut empfehlenswerte Location mit außergewöhnlichem Flair! Liebe Grüße aus Dresden

Eine kleinere Auswahl auf der Karte spricht immer für ein Restaurant und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen.
Besonders empfehlen können wir die Schnitzel und die Salate, aber auch die Kindergerichte. Ihr habt eine tolle Auswahl für die Kleinen.

Leckeres und gemütliches Restaurant. Das Essen inklusive des Nachtischs war sehr lecker, einzig der Fakt, dass die Pommes preislich nicht in der Hauptspeise (dem Schnitzel) einbegriffen sind, hat mich ein wenig gestört. Die Bedienung war allerdings sehr nett.

Wir waren heute mit 6 Personen in der Kupferschmiede essen. Der reservierte Tisch lag gemütlich in einer Nische. Der Service war außerordentlich aufmerksam und freundlich, hat uns gut gefallen. Sowohl das Rumpsteak als auch Hirschbraten und Auberginenroulade waren sehr lecker und wirklich appetitlich angerichtet. Wir mussten nicht lange auf das Essen warten, obwohl das Lokal gut gefüllt war. Vielen Dank, gerne wieder!

Ich habe dort meinen Geburtstag gefeiert und war rundum zufrieden. Der Service war hervorragend und freundlich. Die Gerichte waren frisch zu bereitet und zauberhaft angerichtet. Der Outdoor Bereich hatte uns sehr gefallen
