Fantastic place to be! This business has a new owner since April 2022 - and he surely knows what he's doing. First of all the whole place has been modernized. A complete breeze of fresh air. He's got a new terrace now with brand new chairs and tables. And the pub inside the house also has new paintings, new tables, new chairs - which is important in case of bad weather (rain happens to be a common problem in Germany).

Nevertheless it's fantastic to sit in the sunny beer garden. You completely forget that you're still right in the middle of the city of Duesseldorf. You'll only hear the birds singing (and probably a little bit of the babble of the other customers around you).

I especially like the beer there, because it's Pilsner Urquell. There are very few places where you get this fantastic beer on tap. It's like a bright lager, very tasty, but with a comparably low alcohol level of 4.4%. This is the right beer for you if you get really thirsty in summer.

I also saw people drinking white whine there; so I know first handed that they'll also serve a cold white wine to you if you ask for it. No problem at all. They're really friendly there, it's a casual place. They'll even cook for you what you're asking for, even if it's not on the menu.

By the way, if it comes to food: I can highly recommend the goulash soup there. This is nothing out of the can, like I know from other places. The soup they serve is their own creation, and it's absolutely fantastic!

However, most of the visitors from abroad might want to try out their schnitzels with fries and a fresh salad I guess. I already tried out some of them. Highly recommended!

Since the new owner has taken over, they also have very good cakes for coffee, just in case you don't happen to be the beer and schnitzel type.

A last personal note: The owner is called Azer, and he's always talking to his guests like family and making jokes with the kids. You'll notice that he really likes what he's doing there. From my point of view his business is one of the top spots in the whole area.

Hint for users of public transport: The nearest tram station is called “Uni Nord / Christophstraße“. Take U71, U73, U83 or 704. From the tram station walk the bridge to get to the other side of the street, then straight ahead to “KGV Stoffeln“ and the “Biergarten“. It's not hard to find.

Food served from a Croatian and German influenced menu.
Whilst the food is decent, the prices are extremely reasonable.
However, you come here to enjoy eating a hearty meal during the warm weather...the beer garden is wonderful and situated within the wonderful Südpark.

This Biergarten is pleasantly situated amongst the beautiful trees of Dusseldorf s Volks Garten. The hosts were great the food was fine, all this at a reasonable price..

Gemütliches Gartenlokal mit vernünftiger Bestuhlung (keine billigen Holzklappstühle!!!!). Umfangreiche Speisekarte mit großem vegetarischen Angebot. Es werden für bestimmte Gerichte sogar "Portionen für den kleinen Hunger" angeboten, was zumindest in Düsseldorf eine Seltenheit ist. Qualität der Speisen ausgezeichnet. Große Portionen. Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Hier kann man köstliche Speisen genießen- frisch, lecker, einfallsreich. Der Service ist super, das Ambiente ist toll.

Gemütliche und entspannte Atmosphäre.
Einige Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür, ansonsten ist es auch vor der Anlage möglich, was es ermöglicht die Kleingartenanlage zu erkunden. Der angrenzende große Spielplatz ist für Kinder jeder Altersklasse ideal.

Freundliches Personal, nette Atmosphäre, leckeres Bier und gutes und leckeres Essen.

Ganz prima: nette und gemütliche Stimmung, am Samstag frühen Abend war es supi-voll mit durchaus längerer Wartezeit auf Bestellung/Essen. Aber überall zufriedene Gesichter, leckere Grillgerichte, ein tolles Gulasch, Burger, Steaks. Preise alle ok, Parkplätze direkt am Haus. Wirt/Bedienung hatten trotz der vielen Arbeit gute Laune und für einen Moment Zeit für einen Schwatz. Auch einiges an Stammgästen dort, das sagt vieles.

Die Speisen sind vielseitig und schmecken hervorragend. Dabei stimmen auch noch die Preise.
Zusätzlich gibt es Tageskarten mit saisonalen Spezialitäten wie im Winter Wildgerichte, Gänseessen, zu Ostern Lamm oder auch Penne mit Garnelen und vieles mehr.

Aber auch für Vegetarier wird gesorgt. Ich liebe die Ofenkartoffel mit Champignons und Salat. Die Gemüsepfanne kann ich auch empfehlen.

Der Inhaber Azer und seine Angestellten sind sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend.
Letzten Sommer war ich öfters mit meinen Freunden bei ihnen draußen im Biergarten. Dort sitzt man mitten im Grünen auf einer großen Terrasse die teilweise sogar für kühlere Tage überdacht ist. Hier lässt es sich, bei einem leckeren Glas Wein oder kühlen Bier, bis in den späten Abend hinein gut vom Alltag abschalten.

Für Kinder gibt es nebenan einen Spielplatz mit viel Rasenfläche zum Austoben. Doch auch die Umgebung lädt zum Spaziergang ein. Parkplätze sind genügend vor Ort.

Wer mag kann hier auch Familien- oder Firmenfeste feiern. Die stilvoll eingerichteten Räumlichkeiten laden dazu ein.
