Fantastic bakery, delicious rolls and pastries.
Unfortunately didn't get a chance to try the bread, but I will definitely try to come back to do so.

They have a vegan cherry chocolate cake which was perfectly moist and made for the best dessert.

After living in Paris for 5 years I was not sure Hinkel would live up to the hype, but i'm glad to say it did.
I had worst croissants in France and Hinkel boulangers know what they are doing.
Having said that, it's still a quintessential German bakery that respects their classics and that will continue to soak their once flaky dough in a sugary syrup.
They have a huge selection of pastries, cakes and breads. It can be overwhelming for 1st time visitors who will get indecisive about what to get while having a huge queue behind them.
It's an amazing option in the city and you should definitely try it.

My favorite bakery in Dusseldorf. They have a lot of seasonal breads and pastries, all excellent and high quality.
This shop is less crowded than the one closed to Carlsplatz.
