It’s a massive park, that you can do plenty of things. It’s really good place to read a book or have a good time.

Beautiful park in Kassel. Take your time to visit, it’s worth it. People normally rush to the Hercules and ignore this beautiful part

Beautiful place (so close to the city center)! Absolutely magical in the morning for quite walks.

What a beautiful park, great for a stroll or just sitting on the grass. There is a restaurant in the orangerie building and a playground close to the water.

Perfect for family time.

I very much enjoyed the trip to the Orangerie! The Astronomy museum is located in this beautiful place! The Planetarium is hosting a wonderful exhibition from QUEEN! Something that shouldn't be missed! Not only is the place a very beautiful building but it is also a great place to go out and enjoy the beer gardens! I saw many people enjoying their selves on the lawn and making a nice spring evening better! Also of honorable mention is that this is the 15th DOCUMENTA art exhibition! This is an amazing opportunity to explore the exciting city of Kassel and enjoy the wonderful outdoors and artists exhibitions!

Big wide open park. Of special interest for us was the island with botanical garden (admission to gardens €3). A must for all gardeners and lovers of trees and plants. There is a guide book available which identifies plants and trees by number and a map of the island showing plant locations. Very useful but unfortunatly only in German (as far as i know) language.
