Kaffeehaus Riquet Café

Was looking for some best Cafe in Leipzig and came the Recommendation of Riquet in Best 5 cafe in Leipzig.

We went there to have the famous Hot Chocolate and it was really nice. They had a lot of variety of cakes and we tried the 2 of it and it was also very tasty.

The staff was also very friendly and the service was also very fast opposite to what other reviews say. Maybe it may depend on the time you visit.

We visited on Sunday evening and service was fast and everything was nice.

The ambience and inner architecture is also pretty old and nice

Overall we had a very good experience.

The place is nice. Very nice location just in the centre of Leipzig. The interior design and the general ambience are amazing.
Coffee was delicious, but I did not like the cheesecake much, it was a bit dry.
Regarding the service it's nice that you can open the menu with the qr code and pay for the order. But I didn't feel much attention from the people working there. Nobody greeted me when I entered the cafe. Could be better if the staff is more friendly and smiling:)

Due to its popularity it is hard to find places from time to time

Cappucino was good and served fast altough the Cafe was very crowded. I was at the table in front of the Cafe. Chairs and tables are a bit unstable, but tolerable. Only negative thing is, waiting too much to pay.

We tried famous hot chocolate and fantastic tender cake with basil and raspberry. Both were really tasty!!! Just try this cake. It's quite different from all the standard desserts! 😋

Charming quaint cafe. Cozy and intimate place. It is curious that there is an empty lot right by its side. Theoretically there used to be a building damaged during the war and never reconstructed, or so they told me🤷🏼‍♂

Very nice ambience in a art nouveau house dates from 1908, a corner building (at the corner of Reichsstraße / Schuhmachergässchen) decorated with elephant heads. If you are up to is a traditional Leipziger coffeehouse with a beautiful interior and a lovely atmosphere, serving a wide range of coffees, that's the right place. Simple menu with reasonable prices.

Nice vien cafe with old sofisticated interior. The food is tasty. Just a perfect place to go after a hard working week. Recommend.

Good coffee shop. Pleasant atmosphere. Good prices, good coffee. It was a little cold inside. But overall, good place to meet with somebody.

Flat White could be better (not that bitter)

What a wonderful old time coffee house! The breakfasts have become out lapdog tradition and the coffee, cappuccino and hit chocolate are a delight! The "Elephant" has seating inside, upstairs (more sublime) and outdoor seating as well.
The food is fresh and delicious and the pastry case will make you gain 5 pounds just by looking!
It is a little more expensive, but it is the perfect historic oasis in this lovely and lovely city!

Visited this place with a baby. Very friendly staff and the hot chocolate was amazing. They even asked if we needed warm water to make the milk warm for the baby. Definitely worth a visit.

One of the best coffee shops in Leipzig . The architecture and the coziness are amazing. The service is great and their desserts are exceptional. I strongly suggest that you try the amarula hot chocolate , best beverage ever!!!

a place to go every day for a nice coffee and dessert in this wonderful city. I suggest you to drink coffee by looking out the window on the second floor.
