Quite big fortress with lots to explore. They have several pieces of the fortress' history on display and some rooms equipped with furniture showing how they used to live there.
You can easily spend a few hours here just walking around and exploring all the big and small paths around and through the fortress.
There's also a cafe at the top with the best view looking over Koblenz and moderate prices.
The fortress is accessible by foot but you'll have to bring some time. The easiest way is to use the cable car while also enjoying the view across the river(s).

Very cool to see the advanced tactics and fortification built to be impenetrable for the time. Had a great guide to show us through. The Vista at the top of the fortress was amazing. You could see for miles.

We went there on a public holiday using the Seilbahn. The view was awesome from the sky. So I totally recommend taking the Seilbahn, especially since it’s relatively fast. The fortress has so much charm but it’s huge. Thus, some nice walking shoes would be suitable. If it rains, buy a rain cover at the ticket shop. Make sure to visit wine tasting area. They have a good variety. Also, don’t miss a chance to try on the ancient Roman costumes and jewellery. Finally, spend some time at the Gesten expo. You will enjoy the interaction with the selected games and technology.
It was a great experience.

A beautiful castle. It is easy to get from one bank to the other with the cable car. There are also many facilities. I really liked the medieval landscape.

The castle is a fantastic experience in itself, taking us back to the old Prussian times. There are sound effects from that time at numerous places along the walkway. I reached the fortress via the cable car, which, though was a good experience appeared a bit costly. Some of the rooms inside the castle contains info from the old times and overall it is a great way to spend about an hour. Most people however were focussed on the view point from where you can see the Mosel river flowing in to the Rhine.

We took the cable car to go up to fortress. We paid 48 Euro for cable car (round trip) and also the tickets to the fortress. Very nice view from the cable car and the fortress is pretty huge to walk around.

the view from up here is fantastic, a must visit when in Koblenz. take the cable car or drive up, you don’t necessarily need to pay and enter the fortress if you just want to see the city from above.

Take the cable car for a great view of the three rivers in koblenz. Enjoy a wonderful afternoon at the fort, the exhibition is amazing and really well laid out. Do try the local wines, a tasting set comes in at 5 euro for 3 glasses. Well worth the visit.

The Ehrenbreitstein Fortress— a military stronghold during the Middle Ages, which also played a role in the Napoleonic Wars and later served as a Prussian fortress.
It feels surreal to walk behind the high walls of this fortress. If there were a Time Machine, I’d go back and try to experience what happened in the past. Or, hopefully, there’d be some VR/AR technology that’ll make visits to these tourist attractions more immersive.
Also, yeah, great art references for artists who travels.

It was a very nice experience visiting the fortress. Lots of rooms, exhibitions, and paths on the territory. You can walk the whole day and every time you can find new corners. And of course, the views are wonderful!

Very interesting and sprawling fortress in very good condition. We saw it at Christmas and it was adapted with modern and incentive decorations to amuse the visitor. Not sure what enhancements occur at other times of the year, but it looks like it is a great concert venue as well! The cable car from the other side of the river is pricey but fun!

Amazing place to visit, the history behind this location is not only interesting and educational. The exploration is also engaging.
This fortress is huge and they do hold large events at the location throughout the year, eg. Music events, festivals, etc.
Because of the large location, a lot of their historic information is rather spread out. You'll need to search for them by walking around to learn more about the place, which is probably what they were trying to achieve. It may not seem like much when you come to a small dark doorway, or what seems like a dead end. But there are little rooms and paths with hidden areas that have presentations, informations or display about the fortress.
However, it did feel a little empty on a normal day. Would be nice if they had more going on on normal days without events.
Otherwise, it is still a must to visit when visiting Koblenz. You'll spend about half a day exploring this place, and don't forget to bring water and snacks because although they do have a cafe at the top of the fortress, the options available isn't wide. While the prices are naturally tourist attraction prices.

Amazing experience, beautiful views, and impressive construction. Highly recommend grabbing a drink at one of the restaurants overlooking Koblenz. Also, take the cable car up to the fortress from Koblenz.

An UNESCO historical monument that worths the visit. Great view of the city from able, very interesting archaeological museum and nice small beer gardens if you visit in the summer. I was visiting a Sunday morning where the area under the monument was quiet empty. We avoided some muggers who apparently wanted to steal our belongings this day, so heads up, avoid very tight and empty streets in hours where no one is passing by.

Massive and beautiful fortress. Very easy to reach using the cable car. It houses exhibitions which are a treat. There is a cafe too and the fortress offers fantastic views of the rivers and the city.
