Lüneburg water tower observation deck

Best place to visit in Lüneburg! The view from the observation deck is amazing. The tower is very well maintained. There are both stairs and elevator. Aside from the views, there's a museum inside and the mechanisms from the old water system. Absolutely worth visiting.

A very cool piece of history, with an even greater view at the top. Being able to see the beautiful 1300s architecture around Lüneburg is worth the €5. The staff were super nice, and despite the language barrier was able to help direct us. The content of the exhibits are mostly in German, but don’t let that deter you if you don’t speak it. The 4th floor speaks for itself, and if you really are interested in the words they’re very clear and easy to translate with an app. I did not expect to start my trip falling in love with a water tower, but it is worth making an effort to see if you’re around Lüneburg (30 minute train from Hamburg 100% worth the trip)

Very nicely refurbished water tower located in the city center. It's actually a museum (and used for events), not just a viewpoint. Some of the floors have exhibits on water usage. Dogs welcome! 5 eur per person. Great views of the city and surrounding area. Highly recommend. Little gift shop at the entrance.

Amazing Lüneburg view from here. The water tower is very well preserved, inside it is very nice information and machines you can try. You take the elevator up. Worth seeing if you have time.

A wonderful place, despite the years of this tower, it is in excellent condition. An impeccable view of the entire city. Walking down from the observation deck, you learn the history of the tower and much more.

It was built in 1905 and it is 56 meters high. You can enjoy a nice view of the city from its observation platform. One of the places you have to visit while in Lüneburg.

The Lüneburg water tower was built between 1905 and 1907 in the southeast of the old town of Lüneburg. The former water tower now serves as an observation tower.

The structure now stands between a residential complex on the railing of the former Nordlandhalle and the old Johanneum, which serves as a secondary school.

Like a symbol of Luneburg;) old and historic place. They arrange weddings here and every couple get the plate with their names to put on the top of the building. :)

Such a beautiful view. Well worth a visit. If you don't like heights the stairs down inside the metal water tower may not be for you.

Beautiful architecture . Different interesting exhibits at different floors of the tower. View from the top is the best. The town looks so amazing from top. Best time to visit is afternoon or evening.

Pretty view of the city and some history to learn. It only €4,50 for adults and really worth the visit. There's an elevator to the top.

The view from the top has something for everybody. If you are interested in hinstoric industrial buildings this is very nice. Go through the former water tank using the stairs. See also an exebition about water and the history of the tower.
