A beautifully renovated lookout tower. Children enjoyed it,it is rasy to climb and so worth it. Refreshments and small gifts can be bought there. Absolutely loved it!

One scenic place.

Very nice lookout. You can enter the tower for about 1€. They also sell snacks and souvenirs.

Unfortunately it was windy, snowy and foggy fon our trip but I hear the lookout is beautiful. I was surprised that a small refreshment point was open even on such a low traffic day.

If you're in Kořenov, make sure to walk the hill up to the tower. It's a nice walk and it offers nice views. Entrance fee is very affordable.

The story of the watchtower erection is very educative even for the contemporary politicians. Mix of the political favoritism, intriques, personal likes & dislikes is built into the walls. The adjoining German war memorial stands behind the German war insignia & medal convention of the Iron cross abandoned after WW2. Surprisingly wide view to both mountain ranges of Krkonose & Jizerky from the tower top.

If you are staying in Harrachov, then this is another location you should visit, it's about a 15 minute drive and then about a half an hour or more hike to get the lookout point and Tower. Also if you go in the winter, the path to get to the Lookout point in a slope hill, I believe they have a lift also, so you could actually sled back to your car. #travel #SeeTheWorld #ChuckDiesalPhotography
