Restaurant Diana

Instead of having a ride on the funicular (that was closed by 7 p. m.) we had to climb the hill, which was a great experience. Finding this restaurant with a wonderful playground for kids and mini zoo was totally unexpected for us, though it was also closed by the time we reached the top of the hill😅 It is said on the facade of the building that the restaurant was founded in 1914. Quite impressive! We enjoyed the privacy of this visit. And hopefully we will return here again one day to try some traditional dishes.

We were sitting on the terrace, but the inside is spectacular as well, fully immersed in the forest. Nice selection of Czech specialties, i liked the deer, but non-game dishes are better value..

Nice place to enjoy a good on top of the hill. The service is fast and friendly. Waitresses speak English, German, Russian and Czech.

The menu did not have much of the vegetarian choices but meats variety was quite generous - apart from regular choices the place offers wild pigs and deers.

It was very busy today, so the staff was trying to keep up. It took rather long to place our order but once this was done the food came rather prompt. I had Spaghetti with mushrooms and I was positively surprised. That were proper wild mushrooms with flavour, not the average frozen stuff from the supermarket. Very nice indeed.

Excellent and quick service. Nice place for a whole family. The food is also very tasty.

We rested there wit our newborn baby. The toilet was clean and it was warm inside. The food looked good but we did not eat anything. I would come again for the Gulasch in the bread.

Don't be deterred by the touristy location. The food is quite good (the potato dumplings were nice), and if you hiked up the trails, you've deserved that cold pivo.

The palatschinken is awesome... just like many Google users i also recommend this... and you have to climb the tower ( they have a lift also) because the view is just freakin magic...

Beautiful spacious place with gorgeous food and snacks, local beer and hot drinks. Very nice spot with friendly staff to spend some time treating yourself after climbing up the hill. Watch out for the white peacock!

Nice location, good food. Friendly personell. I Iove the ice coffee :-) price wise also good for such a location. Locally made lemonade also very successful after hiking uphill.

nice cozy restaurant of a rather high level. in addition to the very beautiful location on the top of the mountain, with a beautiful view of the city, outside the restaurant, there are excellent opportunities for entertainment for the whole family. The restaurant can be reached in three ways: on foot, by cable car, or to combine one and the other. Despite the fact that the cable car is not cheap, you will be pleasantly surprised at the prices in the restaurant itself, so in the end it’s not at all expensive. The menu is very rich and available in 4 languages. A dish of decent size, and when you consider the price, it becomes doubly pleasant. we ordered the deer fillet in plum sauce (450 CZK) and the boar's knee (375 CZK) was great. Beer is also not expensive and tasty (45 CZK). The service is fast and on the level. Very advised, great time forwarding.

Most amazing meal I’ve had this year and I’m writing this review on the 25th December. Really really recommend the venison with fresh porcini mushrooms. Never had meat that tender nor porcini that juicy. Any the interior…. WOW

A great restaurant. High above Karlovy Vary, this restaurant is reminiscent of an old hinting lodge with beautiful high-ceiling wooden halls with a large outdoor eating area. The food was great and the service was impecable. I would recommend a visit of you are in the area.
