The Cairn of Peace

At the time this review was written, construction was underway there. There is an opportunity to visit a small museum dedicated to Napoleon and the battle, there is a monument, before renovation, you could buy a ticket inside, but now there was no such opportunity. Overall beautiful and interesting

Although a part of the exposition was not available, a talented and friendly female guide made our visit worthwhile today with interesting historical details of the site and travel tips. Thanks and recommended guide!

Even though the museum was closed, we called a number which ended up being Valerie, which showed us around. It was absolutely amazing, she was so nice and knew so much. We had an amazing experience.

Parking right in front for he place, there a little souvenir shop as well as sort of restaurant/pub. Nice to see.

Surprisingly great museum of Battle of Austerlitz. Multilingual exhibition with videos, audio commentary and real objects from the era of Napoleon such as uniforms, sabers, pistols etc. Super nice staff! Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to visit the monument/chapel itself and café nearby.

Very interesting place, visit if you want to find out the secret of whispering in corners!

4.2.2020 museum opened(a wonder in CZ in winter!!).Well worth a visit and the 99 CZK entrance fee for adults.Very friendly and helpful staff.Good explanation about way of politics and military actions,which led to the decisive battle and the peace dictate after.Spent an interesting hour there!

Nice memorial with an informative museum. Not too many visitors when I visited.

Young personnel, polite, they speak English, they are helpful. Small movies in English. Guide on paper in English. Quite good for a battle memorial in the Czech countyside and fir the price.

That's a great place, but under reconstruction now

We visited Slavkov u Brna (Austerlitz) with a beautiful historic château and short drive away is Mohyla Miru ( Cairn of Peace ), on the Napoleonic battlefield . It is very beautiful and the museum is fantastic, well worth the £2.5 paid. Beautiful views.

Very nice

The Center of the Battlefield. In 1805 this was one of the most important spots during the Battle. Due to history there are a lot of memorials for fallen warriors of the Austria, French and Russian army. The Peace monument was built at beginning of 20th Century (100 years after the battle). The museum is nice: With audio visual support you get a lot of information about the battle, before and after. Due to arrangement of exhibition you cannot skip some stations (you have to wait until movie is over). Not much original exhibits from Battle on display

There is quite good multimedial presentation in museum and it is also available in English. Monument and hill is accessible all day but museum opened till 17:00

A place that recalls the futility of being. Tens of thousands of people died for nothing, because of the lust for power of some individuals... War never changes

Nice place to take the walk. Even though there is a small caffeteria, do not expect much of it.
