Staroslovanská kuchyně Karlovy Vary

I was in a restaurant with my daughter and son-in-law. They love new foods and have traveled a lot. I wanted to surprise and please them. Friends recommended this restaurant - excellent reviews. We had a wonderful evening and now this is our favorite place! Although I live in Germany and my children live in another country, we will gladly come here again! I recommend!

Simple design, clean, eastern European vibe.The Slavic theme food is cooked like in an old household...ancient tasty recipes that you cannot find everywhere.If you give it a try you will fall in love with it.The service is very fast and attentive, no complaints.I recommend the pickles large portion the borsch and buckwheat meal.Also the beer is naturally brewed nearby Karlovy Vary with ancient methods.Very tasty

I like the place. The staff is very polite and cheerful. They speak czech, english and russian

I especially like the borsch and their dark beer. I didn’t like the Schaschlik, I tried veal, venison, chicken and pork schaschlik. Veal and venison were tough. Chicken was a bit tasteless if you eat it without sauce. Pork was ok. Bread was a bit dry.

You can pay by card. Our bill was ~45euro and ~50euro

The interior of the restaurant itself is not impressive, but the food and the service of the waiter was amazing. You can definitely taste the meat being smoked in a wood-fired oven. Definitely worth it!

We stopped here on a whim because the picture of meat skewer by the fire looked appetizing.

It turned out to be an excellent idea. The service was great and the food absolutely delicious. So much so that we returned 2 days latter to try more things on the menu.

The meats were juicy, the potatoes and salad perfect. Try the lamb skewer! I loved it.

Definitely a place worth trying

Amazing food! In 3 days in Karlovy Vary we had dinner twice at this restaurant... very friendly staff, great atmosphere, middle-range prices, but a lot of great food for it!

If you are in Karlovy Vary, be sure to visit this restaurant. A good selection of dishes, everything is very very tasty! I recommend it, we really like it😋❤👍

The food was fresh and tasteful. Definitely a good deal for Karlovy Vary. The interior design might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I liked it, kinda reminds me of the places I used to visit back in my childhood. The menu has something to offer for every taste. Highly recommend the mushroom soup, it was cooked from the scratch, and extremely flavourful. The Šašlik was juicy, and it might have been the first time that I actually liked buckwheat. The portion looked small to eyes at first, but it was very filling at the end.

We walked in at 15:00 and the place was packed with locals. That's the best review you can get.

We had a selection of traditional food and everything was full of flavor. We will definitely go back. And to make it even better, our bill was under 35 Euro.

Meat 🍖 and beer 🍺 lovers must come here! Fantastic food... we have been sitting here eating for the last 1.5 hours. Stuffed! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We made a reservation for 1900, but were so hungry we arrived much earlier, with no issues. When we came in the waiter remembered my man’s call and said it was no problem. Very hospitable.

We were looking for some traditional Czech dinner - and we found it here. We had some delicious Gulasch and Veil Schaschlik, also the side salad tasted really good.
So if you are interested in some basic, but tasty dishes, and good service by a dedicated waiter - go for this place ☺👌

We had borsch and buckwheat groats, then a beef schaschlik and pelmeni with a deef-filling and excellent home-brewed beer.

Definitely get at least one beer: refreshing and prepares the palate for food.

Borsch came with super yummy barley bread and thinly sliced smoked lard. Soak the lard in the hot soup and eat it when it's became transparent with chunks of garlic and/or onions, just writing this makes me hungry again...

I never tried buckwheat groats before but this one I thought was excellent: not too grueley, not too dry, just right and well-seasoned.

We already know schaschlik and pelmeni before and these did not disappoint, yummy!

Traditional food, Great Service and nice Location.

Lovely restaurant,with one of the nicest servers we have met. Really appreciate the great food in a nice setting. Recommended if you like good food well cooked.

The coolest place for a nice dinner. When travelling, it is especially important not tobruise with a place for dinner, because we getvery tired while searching for new impressions andusually by the evening we want to be in a cosyplace with delicious fresh and quality food. And tobe accepted as a close friend. And I'll tell you, thisis exactly the right place to go to after a long day.

We spent few days in Prague before that. Food in this restaurant was better than everything we tried in Prague by far

Nice restaurant in the touristic part of the city, but with traditional food and atmosphere. It's better to make a reservation in advance, but staff are so friendly that will help you in the best possible way.

Very authentic restaurant and cousy. The officiant was very kind and food very delicious. We ordered a Borsh and Pelmeni, very good!
