The order was served very quickly. The portions are large. Czech traditional cuisine. It was delicious. I also liked the beer, dark Krušovice. We travel a lot - there is something to compare with - I can confidently recommend it!

I don't understand why this place doesn't have a higher score. The atmosphere is homey, service is good and staff is efficient. The food is very hearty and the portions are large, so plan accordingly. We've over ordered. We wanted to try a local specialty and our waiter suggested grilled camabert with berries. That was my favorite dish, now I want to try that at home. We also took Urnebes, a Balkan salad with ajvar( pepper paste/paté) mixed with slightly bitter feta cheese. If you like a bit of feta bitterness , try this dish, quite piquant. I loved fried frog legs, not oily and very tender. We shared the Karlovarsky Plate, which has several types of local sausages and meats with 2 types of cabbage and 3 types of knedliks( cooked dough, they have a plain dough, a potato one ,and one with meats and grains). That was the heartiest dish of them all. It was a very cool gastronomic experience and a very good introduction to local cuisine. For dessert I had an effervescent homemade raspberry lemonade, which was not too sweet. If you're in town, check this place out and the price is very very reasonable. You would pay twice as much for the same meal in New York.

Absolutely loved the food! It was local, very hearty and well seasoned. Recommend Karlsbad Plate, also seen on foto. Nice people, they are very welcoming.

Large portions, really liked the lamb with red cabbage. The staff is friendly, speaks English, German and Russian. There is a summer terrace overlooking the river, you can pay with a card inside the restaurant.

Everything is perfect, was served in 10 minutes.

Nice, cozy place for a winter dinner. They can cater to children and welcome guests In English and Deutsch.

We ordered the Bohemian Plate for two. The portion was large enough for four reasonable adults with 3 types of knödel and 6 types of meats. The half duck was the star of the show. Gravy and horseradish were both excellent. The surprise was a side that tasted like a fried, seasoned mashed potato cake. Pair it with the local dark beer. Heavy for a summer but in January- Terrific stuff!

We finished with a few drinks and 2 desserts. One bowl of ice cream and one chocolate soufflé.

Very good service, well cooked and delious food! Beer was good, too!

Food and drinks were good. I got a fish dish. The other members in my party got a meat dish and some schnitzels. We got the appetizer blue cheese mushrooms, which were good too. The staff were friendly and spoke English with us.

Excellent home made food. This is the best place to eat "simple" local food in Karlovy Vary, in my opinion. Personnel is pleasant and the ambient is cozy. Dark beer from fass was really good.
