The castle is open in November. For some reason they weren't allowed to film inside the rooms. this is one of the most modern castles in the Czech Republic. I recommend taking a walk around the park. there are many beautiful places on the lakes and the city from above. You can only enter the interior of the castle with a guide.

Hluboká nad Vltavou Castle is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful castles in Europe and certainly in all of Bohemia. That's why it's often a popular destination. I would recommend coming here in the autumn, as the crowds are more manageable. Entry to the castle is only possible through a guided tour. However, it's not necessary to take the tour in your own language, but it is definitely recommended. The tour lasts about one and a half hours. The castle is not only stunning from the outside but also from the inside, especially the library. If you happen to be in the vicinity, a visit is highly recommended, even if you don't go inside the castle.

The State Chateau of Hluboká is an enchanting architectural gem located in Hluboká nad Vltavou, Czech Republic. As I explored this magnificent chateau, I was captivated by its fairy-tale-like appearance and rich history. The chateau, originally built in the 13th century, has undergone several renovations, with the most significant transformation occurring in the 19th century when it was redesigned in the Romantic Gothic style. Here are four key aspects that stood out during my visit:

The chateau's architecture is nothing short of breathtaking. The exterior is adorned with stunning Gothic and Renaissance elements, while the interiors are a testament to opulent European design. The chateau's white facade contrasts beautifully with the surrounding gardens and the reflection in the nearby Vltava River. It's a photographer's dream come true, and visitors will find themselves constantly reaching for their cameras to capture its beauty.

The chateau is surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens that are a sight to behold. The extensive English-style park features perfectly manicured lawns, colorful flowerbeds, and meandering pathways. Exploring the gardens is a tranquil experience, and they provide an excellent backdrop for a leisurely stroll or a picnic.

The Chateau of Hluboká is steeped in history. It was originally a Gothic fortress before being transformed into a Renaissance chateau and later remodeled into its current Romantic Gothic style. The interior is equally impressive, with lavishly decorated rooms, antique furnishings, and a remarkable art collection. Guided tours are available, and the knowledgeable guides provide fascinating insights into the chateau's past.

Hluboká nad Vltavou is easily accessible from Prague, making it a great day trip option for those visiting the Czech capital. The chateau is well-maintained, and there are facilities for visitors, including a cafe where you can enjoy a coffee or light

The State Chateau of Hluboká is a true masterpiece of architecture and history, and it offers a delightful escape into a bygone era. Whether you're an architecture enthusiast, a history buff, or simply someone seeking a peaceful and picturesque setting, this chateau is a must-visit destination in the Czech Republic.

Visiting Castle Hluboka was like stepping into a fairy tale. The castle is exceptionally well-preserved, and the variety of tours they offer provides a fascinating look into its history. What impressed me the most was that, even on weekends, it wasn't overly crowded, making the experience more enjoyable. For added convenience, there's a small train available from the downtown parking lot, making it easy to access. For those planning a visit, I recommend checking out the available online information to enhance your experience and truly appreciate the beauty and history of this enchanting castle.

An interesting place. One can see how much money was thrown at this house to convert it into a pseudo castle. The library room was amazing.
I would recommend parking on the main road and getting a taxi up to the castle itself as it is a very steep climb up the road.
The view from the tower was awesome and certainly worth the 245 steps and two heart attacks getting there.
The restaurants and ice cream vendors on the castle approaches are well worth a visit. I highly recommend the black cherry ice cream. Apart from being delicious; it also turns your poo black for a couple of days!
All in all, a great place to visit!

Hluboká nad Vltavou 🏰 🇨🇿
For me, the most beautiful castle in the Czech Republic, this building simply has no competition, it is a wonderful experience to climb the highest tower, which can be seen from České Budejovice

Beautiful castle! So romantic. I think it is the most beautiful in the Czech and one of the most beautiful that I have visited so far. Beautiful architecture. The interior is beautiful. A huge park is in front, perfect for a walk. A must visit place. Divine.

Beautiful castle with an interesting history. The toirs are in English and Czech. English ones are every hour in winter and they are done at 4. In winter, the hours are different and the castle is more active

Decent walk up the hill from the carpark, but definitely worth the visit. We booked a tour and while it was a Czech tour, found the English tour notes very well written and I followed along. The steps up the top of the tower were good, and view from the top was great. Can't take photos inside the castle, so I definitely wished I could look back at some of the things I saw.

Hluboka Castle is a very beautiful place to visit surrounded by park, shape of the castle is astonishing and make effect of wow. The entrance is paid and requires tour guide, so if you want to visit castle's interior, check entrance time and language used by tour guide on desired time you want to visit it. Park gives you a take breath and make you relaxed. I truly recommend this place.

Beautiful, well maintained Palace. 2 local people advised it is worth the trip up, and we agree. We did not have time to tour inside and out, so we opted for walking around outside, and there is no charge for that. Even in early season, the grounds and gardens are very nice. Walking up to the castle from the streets below is steep. If you have mobility concerns, you may want to see if you can get a ride up.

I was with a kid, so we didn't take any guided tour inside the castle. Just climbed the tower and walked in the park around. And it was already worth visiting. Beautiful castle.

A beautiful castle on the Prague České Budejovice road, some 20 km from České Budejovice. Around the castle there is a well-kept park through which there are paths for walking. Parking in the city costs 90czk. They also have a brewery in town that produces their own beer. A must visit.

One of the most incredible castles I’ve been to anywhere in Europe. It’s up there with Neuschwanstein, Versailles and others that are more famous. The wood interiors are dark and hide extraordinary details that are surprising in their complexity. There are gold ceilings with rare painted flowers, canvas wall paintings done by French artists, stained glass from churches in Switzerland and incredible paintings from many centuries. If you like castles, this should be on your “bucket list.”

Tip: make sure to go down to the bottom of the castle to see all the cast iron work, and to the top of the hill across from the castle to get a view of it with the garden in the foreground.

You’re not supposed to be allowed to take photos inside though we were allowed to as members of the press on a special tour.

Great place to wonder around.
We took one tour but they did not tell us it was only in Czech. It is hard to read a translation and look at what is there as the tours move along pretty quickly.
Some tours are very busy and limited in number. If available I think that it is best to book in advance

Absolutely amazing chateau in the city Hluboka nad Vltavou. There is spacious and beautiful park attached to the chateau. Also surrounding area is beautifully restored. It takes some short time/distance to get there from the public parking. At times it is very busy. You can buy food and souvenirs on the way up to the castle or by at a good restaurant.

This place is very beautiful, interesting and exciting. It's a pity we're not allowed to make photos inside it during the execution, but still I liked the inner part very much. Rich collections of armour, antic wooden furniture, great pieces of art, and gorgeous interiors - all these are so fascinating! And don't forget to go round the castle - you'll be surprised, how beautiful it it from the back side.
