Outstanding Resort, I have no idea where the bad comments come from. Beautiful lobby with drink service, great place after dinner. Great entertainment, changes every evening. The Beach is one of the finest, at low tide you can walk out 100m and be ankle deep. Bartenders are great, lots of cold drinks. We had 50/50 rums. Denise our maid in building 18 was really exception. She cried, when we gave her a $20.00 tip for 3 days and then extra dollars. She told us what she bought for her Son on her day off. Food is a bit repetitive but good. The beach restaurant was really good a nice break after spending 6 hours a day on the beach with plenty of shade. Beautiful pools which we didn't go too. 18 min from the Airport which is a real bonus. All in all really really good. We will be going back next February from maybe 10 days. Enjoy!

Beautiful resort. No shortages that we noticed. Food was very good and definitely favourable.
Drinks were plentiful and tasty with lots of selection.
The beach is lovely - I was told to bring beach shoes and forgot them but never had any issues.
Add to all of that excellent staff and service and we’ll definitely be back!

I had a great vacation at this resort. I visited in December with my mom. Everything was great. The people who work here are super friendly and helpful. Beach is great, pools very nice (although a bit cool). The entertainment was excellent. The food was also very good. My mom and I have a gluten allergy, and it was not a problem here. The food and beverage manger Francisco made arrangements for our meals and everything was excellent. We had lobster, chicken, beef carpaccio, and many other great meals. We're already planning to return to this property.

Beautiful resort and even more beautiful people. Gorgeous beach and friendly staff, will definitely be returning. Had an amazing time. Made some great friends and wonderful memories. Can’t wait to return with family and friends. This was our first time but won’t be the last.

Lenny’s is a must go! Joel the chef made exceptional food. Very romantic setting, atmosphere was amazing, the ambiance was very welcoming. The staff went above and beyond. We were serenaded by the staff and finished the evening with a the most amazing sunset.

A good hotel in an excellent location with amazing staff. We had a great 1 week vacation. Healthy food choices. Buffet and a la carts.
Our room was spacious and great air conditioning. Maid service everyday. Entertainment was good especially night time. Huge pools and a paradise of a beach. Beach is large not crowded and you can snorkel and see many fish and such. Management is very attentive and respond to requests promptly and try their best. We will return and recommend.

We are on our last day and absolutely had to best time. I just wish we could stay longer. Adalberto in the customer service area is fantastic and has really made our stay so comfortable. When you make it to the beach you have to say hi to all the staff especially Joel. He goes above and beyond for his guests. The beach stunning, the food great, the rooms and vibe excellent. If your thinking about travelling to Cuba you have to come and stay here!!! 5/5 star.

Our housekeeper is awesome 9114. Always very very clean. Toilet wasn’t working properly. She had it fixed immediately without us asking her or telling front desk. All staff is very good and attentive.

I just spent the week here with my boyfriend. We had a great time! Adalberto, Lisbet, and our room cleaner Denise were amazing. They made our experience here the best. Denise always made sure everything was okay with our room and Adalberto and Lisbeth gave us amazing service. Everyone here was so kind and to my surprise, the food was pretty good and quite flavourful. The beach was crystal clear and clean. We had an overall amazing experience :) I would recommend coming here!

Our trip cost us less then $1000 each and we got the pleasure of feeling like a king and queen for 8 days!

This was my second time at this resort. They have done renovations since my first time being there, including opening a new restaurant. We love the lobby - it’s absolutely beautiful. The people who work at this resort are incredible, and are the reason we will be coming back again very soon. The entertainment staff are so much fun.

Arlet at the lobby bar is amazing! Customer service at its best!! Papa Noel is fantastic, always smiling and friendly. Adalberto is a pleasure to talk to, he wants to make sure everything is perfect. Great staff all around.

However, it is worth noting that there are some rocky areas and sharp shells in certain spots, so I would recommend bringing water shoes for added safety.

I have read many reviews of Melia these days and I don't like them at all. I stayed there three days ago and I want to tell you that everything was good. They do have supplies. They do have food. It is true that you have to wait in line sometimes since there are many. clients also seem to me that they are demanding a lot for the little they pay compared to other places, gentlemen, it is Cuba and after the covid nothing is the same anymore, the workers are excellent, very friendly, if one day they have a bad face it is because they are tired but they always tell you They serve kindly. They think a little.

The beach is really clear pictures look beautiful with the sunsets overall I enjoyed my stay everything was good I slept like a baby in the bed in my room the food was amazing the chefs were really fun to talk to great guys tbh I would love to come back here

Great weeks with family and the kids, you must try the canchanchara at the lobby bar. Great restaurant "a la carte" the bbq is a must great service and very friendly server !!

The rooms were clean, the animation was good, the pools are beautiful. Yuniet and Adalberto, the persons that work on client attention tried hard to give us a good experience.

My son and I stayed at the Melia Jardines Del Rey in Cayo Coco over new years. We had a wonderful time will definitely come back.
We are scuba divers and planned this trip to do some diving. In considering where to stay I emailed a few resorts to see if they can accommodate a gluten-free diet. We have celiac disease and cannot eat foods with gluten. It can be challenging for us when we travel internationally. Some resorts did not even reply to me.
When I emailed the Melia Jardines Del Rey I received a reply right away from Adalberto in customer service assuring me that they can accommodate our gluten-free diet. When we arrived Adalberto put us in touch with Francisco Rodriguez who is a supervisor in the food and beverage department. Francisco took great care of us throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to make sure we had delicious gluten-free meals. He communicated with the chefs in all the restaurants to arrange specially prepared meals. We enjoyed chicken, lobster, pork chops, risotto, omelettes and more. The food was fantastic and we did not get sick at all during our stay. We are so grateful for his help. Our experience at this hotel exceeded any expectations.
I read some reviews of people complaining about shortages of food, but that was not our experience. We came during peak holiday time and the food was plentiful. During breakfast there was plenty of eggs, bacon, cheese, fruit, vegetables and pastries. At lunch they had grilled meats, pasta stations and many options. We didn’t eat much from the buffet because of our allergies, but we saw that there was lots of options. I think it’s important for people to understand that when you visit a different country the food may be different than you are accustomed to and look at this as an opportunity to try new foods. The a la carte restaurants offered many great options.
For New Year’s Eve they had grilled lobster, roasted pork, and an incredible display of chocolates and desserts.
I would like to acknowledge the chefs: Oscar and Manny at the buffet and Michael and his wife at the Italian restaurant. They prepared many delicious meals for us. I would also like to express my appreciation to Yohander, Juan-Carlos, Melissa, and Yosvanis at the front desk, and Lisbet, Adalberto and Michael in Customer service for all their help during our stay. Special thanks to our server, Yosiemi at the Italian restaurant and to the smiling staff at the lobby bar, cafe and beach bar. All these people work so hard to please the guests. I’m already planning my return trip.
