HOSTAL ARQUIMIDES

We visited Baracoa as a family of four with our teens and we had such a great experience at Casa Arquimides. The location is very central and you get such a wonderful view from the terrace over the roofs of the town while you are taking the delicious meals. The food is fresh, plentiful and very delicious. Arquimides and his wife Barbara cook themselves and fulfill your wishes. The kids loved the hot chocolate, a speciality of Arquimides. Try by all means the fish with the coconut sauce. So delicious!The rooms are spacious and very clean and the family helps you with anything you need. We felt very good taken care of. The price is very reasonable as well. I recommend this place 100 %.

I had a great stay with Arquimides.. The room was extremely clean and spacious! It also had a great view from the balcony.

What I enjoyed the most was the traditional food that he and his wife made. I had crab, fish and prawns with coconut milk, fried plantains, yuca and BBQ pork. They were extremely delicious!!!

The price of the accomodation and food were reasonable for the quality.

Arquímides’s house was the best place to stay in baracoa. The room is very large, clean and modern. The family is the most friendly and I felt like I was in my own home. Arquímedes took us to the national park and we had a super fun day and then with the family and other guests we went to a concert of Laritza bacallao. Thanks so much for a beautiful home and even better friends.

Staying at Arquimides home was super convenient! His rooms are clean comfortable and spacious! The a/c is ice cold and the terrace upstairs gives you great views of the city and the hammock is really comfortable. He’s well connected and can help you with whatever you need while your in baracoa!

If you stay there don’t be shy to ask him to cook for you! The traditional Baracoa dishes he prepares are soo delicious and the quantity is a lot more than I expected! My favorite dish he prepared was the shrimp in coconut milk! He even offered to season some pork that we bought and grill it for free!!

I’m definitely going to be staying at his house next time I find myself in baracoa!

Great place to visit Baracoa!
We had a very pleasent stay at the Hostel „Hostal Arquimides“. The location within the city is great, very short walk to the coast and the city centre. The price was fair, we had a big room with a private bathroom, all very comfortable and clean. The host and the whole family was really friendly and caring during our whole stay. Everyone was very anxious to assist us in planning tours from Baracoa to the national park and they had several recommendations for us to visit. If requested, we were served very good freshly cooked local food on their roof terrace. This terrace also made a good place for cuban live music at some times;)
Great experience, we will visit again next time!!

Arquimedes is a great host, funny, kind, helpful. Recommended place to live in when vistiting Baracoa.

Expect an honest and sincere hospitality from the owner and his lovely family. Altogether there are only two but also well kept separate rooms for booking. Both with with large and comfortable beds in a clean environment. Everything is held in cuban design with European standards.

If you choose to have dinner from Señor Arquimides, he and his family will provide you with everything desirable one can expect fresh from the local food market.

and other cuban specialities
(Also suitable for vegetarians who can come up with every wish ansd not just „the usual greens“)
All will be served on Señor Arquimides terrace on 3rd floor with a nice view over the roofs and streets ogf the historic city center of Baracoa. My evening dinner was great, a guy will definately be satisfied and for 12 Euros per Person in April 2022 - very afordable and worth every cent of it!!!

You will also learn about „Dignatario“ Matos who is a close friend to the entire family and well known by almost everyone in Baracoa. He will provide authentic „Musica Cubana“ and his philosophy of life at the dinner table if you care to listen. … and he will make you join him with his typical heartfelt „Musica Cubana“ - Don’t miss out on this!!!

Hostal a due passi dal centro di Baracca. Camera tra le migliori del mio giro per Cuba, pulita spaziosa e con un ottimo bagno. Archimedes e la sua famiglia mi hanno accolto con sorrisi e simpatia, oltre alle informazioni e consigli utilissimi servono un ottima cena tipica e colazione nel terrazzo della casa.

Een absolute aanrader. Het huis is centraal gelegen. De kamer was uitermate schoon. De airco was defect en in korte tijd gerepareerd. Klachten worden serieus genomen en er wordt zsm actie ondernomen. Het dakterras is een fijne plek voor ontbijt. Eet vooral in het huis! Barbara is een uitstekende kok; in menig restaurant eet je minder goed. Arquimedes is een uitstekende gastheer. Hij regelde meerdere excursies en ging zelfs mee als gids op enkele. Geweldige week bij hen gehad!

Si quieres tener una experiencia agradable y sentirte en familia. La mejor opción es esta. Seguridad y confort garantizados. El servicio de primera. Habitaciones impecables. En mi opinión personal unas de la mejores casas de renta de baracoa

Recomiendo 100% la casa de Arquímedes y su familia. El trato es espectacular, son muy agradables y te sacarán una sonrisa. Los desayunos inmejorables: huevos, tomate, pan, café, chocolate, jugos. La habitación luminosa, limpia y con baño dentro impecable. Si podemos, volveremos.

Creo que el Hostal Arquimides ha sido el mejor alojamiento que haya tenido en Cuba!
Abitacion grande y limpia, cama comoda, el dueño Arquimides muy amable y atento, la comida super rica.
También está bien ubicado en Baracoa, a poca distancia de todo lo que puede interesar en la ciudad.

Een heel fijn huis bij een fijne familie. Hele grote kamers en erg schoon. Het eten wat Barbara maakt is ook super lekker. Op het dakterras kun je relaxen na een lange dag in de natuur doorgebracht te hebben. Zeker een aanrader.
Grote en schone kamers. Dichtbij het centrum (2 minuten lopen).

Baracoa is een relaxte plaats om te verblijven.
In dit verblijf ben je te gast bij vriendelijke mensen.
Ik verbleef in een ruime kamer, boven is een groot terras met uitzicht over het hele dorp.

Per il mio soggiorno a Baracoa non potevo aspettarmi di meglio..I proprietari della casa mi hanno davvero fatto sentire parte della loro famiglia..soggiorno fantastico in un ottima camera moderna..ritornerò sicuramente grazie per l ospitalità!

Kod Arquimeda je bilo sjajno! Dočekao nas je na autobusnoj stanici. Kuća je čista, udobna i prostrana, a terasa ugodna. Upoznao nas je s čarima Baracoe i bio nam je super pratnja u nacionalni park u blizini, a zatim i na obližnju plažu. Sve preporuke!
