Casa Betty

We were welcomed with open arms and a fresh homemade juice. The place is located in the center so that you can explore the city easy by foot, yet it's really quiet at night. The room was freshly renovated, the beds comfortable, the AC and fan a blessing during the hot summer nights and there was a fridge with reasonable prices for cold drinks (of course you can put your own food and drinks in there too). The hosts are an adorable elderly couple, yet they speak English and were always there when we needed them. They organised a taxi collectivo to Santiago for us, and their son - who is a taxi driver - planned and made an amazing day trip with us around Baracoa, to some non-touristic places that you would never find on your own (a chocolate farm, the river Yumuri, lonely beaches). The breakfast was delicious and offered a huge variety - for only 5CUC. We would definitely choose Casa Betty again!
