Villa Maida

It's a great place. We stayed for one night in Las Terrazas. It's a great town. Kenny & Maida's place is a great place to explore the town and the region. The room was very clean and tidy and everything was in great conditions. The where very warm and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent.

Villa Maida is one of only a couple of casa particulares inside Las Terrazas so is ideally suited for visitors not staying at Hotel Moka or those looking for a more authentic stay. As of Jan 2022, the hotel was still on the prohibited list to US visitors, so Villa Maida was a great alternative. It's just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Las Terrazas and you can hike from the villa directly. The room is basic but clean. During our stay AC wasn't on but there are units in the rooms. Beds were comfortable. The hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful and provided amazing breakfasts and dinners at good value. Maida speaks good English and helped with excursions and onward travel. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Little gem in the middle of the nature, Maida is very caring and helpful, a thousand time better than the soulless hotel which you can still visit for a drink after a day in the park.

Familiäre Unterkunft mitten in der Natur. Das Zimmer ist sehr klein und zweckmäßig, aber aufgrund der tollen Natur ist man eh kaum im Zimmer. Dafür wohnt man direkt bei der Familie im Haus und man fühlt sich sehr angeschlossen an das familiäre Leben. Das Frühstück auf der kleinen Terrasse ist fantastisch. Auf Nachfrage kann man auch ein super Abendessen bekommen. Parkplatz ist vorhanden, wenn man eine individuelle Möglichkeit zur weiterfahrt benötigt wird einem schnell geholfen. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.

In Las Terrazas gibt es nur wenige Unterkünfte. Die Villa Maida ist eine gute Wahl. Sie liegt etwas abseits vom Dorf, man ist nach einem kleinen Spaziergang aber schnell im Dorfzentum (ca. 900m). Das Haus liegt mitten in der Natur und ist umgeben von grün. Ein Parkplatz für den Mietwagen ist vorhanden. Das Frühstück war lecker. Die Matratze leider durch gelegen.
Da es keine Mückengitter vor den Fenstern gib und wenn man sich draußen aufhält empfehle ich Mückenspray zu benutzen.
Allgemein gibt es in Las Terrazas reichlich Hühner und Hähne, die schon in den frühen Morgenstunden durchgehend krähen. Ohropax ist empfohlen.

Lugar tranquilo y acogedor. Aunque los cuartos disponen de poco espacio. Muy buena atención y desayunos.
