Excellent experience!!!

6 of us traveled to Costa Rica from the US, and, originally, 2 of us wanted tattoos. I messaged the shop in-advance on Instagram/WhatsApp to book appointments. It was super easy to book with them & get a quote. On arrival, the shop is very clean, and sterile. 3 more people in my group decided they wanted tattoos, and they worked everyone in without issue.

Two people in the group got our first tattoos there (myself included). Mike & his team answered all our questions, and were very kind & patient.

It was an amazing first tattoo experience! (& the others in the group who already had tattoos agreed that the shop was the best).

Stephanie did my tattoo, and my script is perfect! It’s exactly the font I wanted. It’s clean, precise, and looks like a sticker.

My vacation was coming to an end and I loved everything about our Costa Rica trip! We did something new every day and we saw so many wonderful and amazing things along the way. The slogan "Pura Vida" is everywhere and the people living there are truly living the Pura Vida life. While in Jaco I told my husband and friend that I wanted to get my first tattoo there and my friend got right to work researching. We came across Nova Tattoo, they had great reviews and it was just a 3-minute walk from our location. I was greeted by thee most friendliest group of people. My husband was a little concerned about getting a tattoo while traveling and the owner, Mike, explained to us how to care for a tattoo during travel, and explained that it is safe to travel (in the end he even sent us off with an extra tattoo aftercare bandage, so that I had easy care for it while traveling). Everyone was excited for me and cheering me on. I was directed towards Stephanie and she right away understood what it was that I was looking for in font design. Within 5 minutes we found the font and I was ready to go. We placed the design in two different locations that I was debating. I decided on where I absolutely loved. I was a little nervous, as I hate needles, but Steph got to work and I was so surprised how it just felt like light scratches. Within 3 minutes of starting, she was letting me know I was done. Luckily the rush of people came after I got started. I couldn't have asked for a better first tattoo experience. When we come back to Costa Rica, and we will be back, I will definitely be stopping by again. If you are in the area and are considering getting a tattoo.... 100% recommend this place!

Very happy with my tattoo by Álvaro, he was súper Quick and very gentle, and that is one of those shops that wont make you feel awkward even the peoplethat get tattooed are very friendly, 10/10 experience.

Marco was a guest artist and I felt so lucky to have been here while he was here. He took his time and was very collaborative. By far the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had. Very professional. I’m in love with my piece!

I walked out very happy as it matched with the rest of my previous tattoos. She took her time and made sure I was happy with it. We came in very last minute with seven people. Mike, Álvaro & Stephanie were so accommodating! Their line work is amazing, everyone loves their tattoos. The studio is very clean and welcoming.

5stars hands down! Me and my friend got tattoos with Mike and Alvaro yesterday. Not only did we feel like they took their time to understand what we wanted, they were so patient with my neverending questions. Last but certainly not least we LOVE our new ink!

My husband and I came to Jaco for a vacation and decided to leave with some tattoos to remember our amazing time there. We decided to get sloth tattoos, and Al (ig: alrod_tattoos) was incredibly helpful and skilled. The tattoos were quick and painless. We definitely recommend this studio to anyone wanting a tattoo!

Great shop with very talented artists. Clean and air conditioned space. Staff are really friendly. Alvaro is a smooth tattooist amd a great artist. The shop has the ability to do simple or complex custom designs.

My wife and I decided to get last minute tattoos to commemorate our time in Costa Rica. They took us in no problem and they did a great job! They’re in the middle of a rebrand going by Nova Tattoo soon. If you’re in the Jaco beach area and want something done professionally I highly recommend. Super clean, high quality line work and friendly staff.

Great service, great artists. Very friendly and happy to work with you to get the right design. I saw Alvaro as he is the only artist in the area that really does sacred geometry / mandala style. Would definitely recommend for high quality tattoos.

Visited this tattoo shop to explore getting my first tattoo. Despite getting cold feet about a tattoo, the staff were all incredible and extremely friendly. They are very willing to help you out and guide you in your decisions. Mark is particularly helpful and was very accommodating. 100% would reccomend.

I went to Costa Rica for a group trip and learned the history. Absolutely fell in love with everything. Decided to get a tattoo on a whim, and Stephanie got me in within an hour of when I walked into the shop. She was so warm and welcoming even through our Google translate conversations. She took what I wanted and made it more amazing than I thought it could be.
