Rolling Thunder Saloon

Fun place! Food was much better than I expected. Very reasonably priced. Lots of cool things to look at. Stage for live music. Great location. Plenty of smiles. A real hangout for ex-pats and ticos alike.

Costa Rican "Pirate bar", went for happy hour, two for one gin and tonics and an order of onion rings. Onion rings were just as my wife has been searching for for years, crispy and delicious The gin and tonics were large and filling. Good classic '70s rock and roll playing. Nice street view. Lots of seating inside.

My husband and I were vacationing in Costa Rica we got lost trying to find a restaurant in Jaco. Needless to say we ended up here and it was a god-send. Erica was our server/bartender and she was awesome she had a great personality and had some great recommendations. She was honestly one of the friendliest people we met in CR! The atmosphere was also a lot of fun. The food was delicious we got burgers fries and the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Highly recommend if you’re a tourist in Jaco !

Food is great. Tacos are filling and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is great. Nice pool table. Could use ac, but other than that, great place. Cheese fries are not so great but the tacos are fantastic.

I liked the food, the superbowl was palying on ALL TVs the charged me for a burger i never ordered and charged my friend for 5 drinks and he only had 4. Check you bill before paying. Great otherwise.

Great place to catch a Football or Baseball game on TV, have a drink, and do not forget the ceviche. It is really good here.

Been visiting Jaco for years and hands down, Rolling Thunder is our favorite restaurant/bar. The staff are amazing and have become like friends in no time. The variety of food is fantastic and everything we’ve tried is delicious. The beer is always cold, mixed drinks are as strong as they should be and the atmosphere is electric and welcoming. If you’re in Jaco, stop by and check it out, you won’t regret it.

Most fun we've had here in Jaco. All day football, good food, good drinks, great people. Our fave was the pizza!

The food here is the best in Jaco by a landslide. The drinks are almost undrinkable they're so strong. I really can't say enough about the place. The chef is incredible and he made us custom dishes several nights in a row. Great atmosphere, bartenders, and food. A+

This is a nice place to hang out and relax. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The drinks are consistent and that's saying a lot! I liked the new improved menu with attention to detail.

good atmosphere, food is delicious food presentation. they have one pool table there as well. not many selection of draft beer, but you still could choose some.

My favorite place in Jaco! Feels like home. The manager Trevor is very personable and accommodating. Arlin is the best! 10/10 recommend. Ask for Chile Guaro shot!

Had a great meal and some good drinks here.
My waitress Erica was amazing and kept me entertained. Will definitely return to try some more of the menu.
Only bad thing was the portion of fries with the burger was very small, besides that 5 stars!

This place was a highlight of my trip in Jaco ! I found myself coming back 3 nights in a row for dinner and drinks.

Right from the start, the manager Trevor personally made sure I was taken care of. The bartenders made the atmosphere fun and were very attentive. And the regulars made me feel like I was part of the family. I hope to come back soon!

Rolling thunder is my second home when I’m in Costa Rica. The staff is amazing and the owners Jeff and Rose care about their staff and their customers and it shows. Amazing live music on Friday’s and an excellent sports bar for the big games, including all the hockey for us Canadians which can be difficult to find even in the US.
