Located within a former coffee barron's house, this charming restaurant has high-quality meals. The food was really good, with the exception of the lemonade with mint. But, other than that one disappointment, I had a very good meal.

One of the unique features of this place is that all of the seating surrounds an inner courtyard garden where the intrepid are allowed to explore.

They have expanded the capacity since I first came to here years ago (maybe 10+), but I think that it has only made things better as they can now host more and bigger parties.

They have a super accessible enterance from the back parking lot, though the lot itself is little more than a grassy yard. But that shouldn't be a deterant if you want a truly exceptional meal.

A quick word about the vegetables served on the side: unlike far too many places, these tasted both fresh and perfectly cooked. They were not overcooked into a mushy parody of themselves. They were firm, yet tender.

I am planning on going back at least once more before I need to head back home, and will continue visiting every time I travel to the region.

My wife and i have been wanting to get to this place forever, we finally tried it the other day. Since then we have been back 2 more times!

Everyone there is very nice and they even remembered my name when i came back the next time, also all the food is amazing. I would recommend everything.

A little bit expensive but the food good

The lomito is wonderful here (try it with the jalapeño sauce!) Great place to take big groups of friends, homey atmosphere and great service. There are tables with a view of a gorgeous garden with tropical plants. If you get there early for dinner there is a small patio in the back, they will bring you drinks and tapas. I love this place! Every time we go to Costa Rica we eat here several times.

Highly recomended in Palmares, Alajuela. Good location, 5 min from Palmares Centro, parking area, food is really good, the pizza, chicken wings or more fancy food too. Price is very acceptable, quite place.
