This hidden gem is nestled in the mountains. The picturesque drive was a tad treacherous from where I was located in San Ramon due to the fog, and sometimes steep winding roads but so well worth it!! It is known for its AMAZING sunsets and they do not disappoint!! It was ethereal!!! The food is delicious and fresh, with options for everyone. Service was impeccable!! Walking around the grounds is a beautiful, relaxing experience with seating here and there to take it all in. Prices are reasonable when you consider the experience! I shot these photos over several hours through open and closed windows. Spectacular!!!

Pizza beyond what you've tried before. A little hard to get to this gem, but definitely worth the trip. Fantasia Toscana is a great entré and any of the pizzas are highly recommended 👌

Excellent restaurant, food, staff and owners! We landed here unexpectedly! Google maps sent us via 713 from Manuel Antonio beach area to La Fortuna. We were terrified after driving on the steep and curvy roads at 4000 ft in this mountain and stopped here as this restaurant was in a perfect spot to stop by. The staff was so friendly and the owners went out of way to help us get over our fear of driving on these roads and guided us to San Ramon. The food and the views were excellent. We had the bologna pasta and Alfredo sauce pasta. The appetizers and coffee was good too. All in all, the kind owners and staff restored our faith in humanity and helped us when we needed it with our little kids! Thank you so much! Do visit this beautiful restaurant for the food, view and amazing unique collection they have!

A bit out of the way and a bit pricey but well worth it. View must be great in dry season but today it was mostly fogged in. That didn't stop us from enjoying some really good food. The caesar salad isn't quite what I have experienced in North America but was very good - best I have found in 9 years in Costa Rica. Pasta with shrimp was excellent. Wood oven pizza supreme was generous size and well garnished. Worth a visit - but reservations needed for busy times.

Lovely spot in the middle of the mountain road. Incredible views, pizza was delicious and service was lovely. Only bad thing was no wine fi. But then again you are in the middle of the mountain. Loved the reggae Cafe music.

This is possibly one of those barly known gems nestled high up on the side of a mountain. The road there is steep and winding, but during the day there is the potential for some amazing views.

It is best to make reservations when going here.

The food is on the great side of very good, although I found the lemonada to be a tad too sweet for my tastes (but that's just my personal preference).

The pizzas are done very well, and among the best I've had in Costa Rica.

The dessert was a little small... more of an afterthought. However, it was still full of taste.

It has a wonderful view of the Pacific and all the land up to the water's edge. On a moderately clear day, you can even see more land beyond the shore.

The Ceaser salad isn't a Cesar salad.

We stopped here on our way to Quepos from La Fortuna. It was the perfect stop and made our day. Our waitress was very friendly and the food exceeded our expectations by a long shot - this was actually one of our favorite meals of the whole trip. The views are stunning. Highly recommend!

We went to celebrate the birthday of a friend, and our party of 9 was given wonderful food, great service, and even a birthday candle in the dessert. The road from San Mateo was very do-able without 4 wheel drive, and it was a beautiful drive as well. They have a good parking lot, and the grounds are very lovingly maintained. We will be back! Thank you for a delicious and memorable dinner.

The view out to the Pacific is spectacular. Nothing will prepare you for how beautiful it is. And the staff is exceedingly helpful. This should be listed as a must stop for anyone visiting this part of Costa Rica.

Best pizza we have ever had in Costa Rica! We will even drive the 30 minutes for take out. The other dishes we've tried we're also satisfying. The sunset views are spectacular.

This is just a wonderful restaurant that has a commanding view of the ocean from Punterenas to Pointe Leone. It's located way up on a mountain top that seems so random to be located in what seems like the middle of nowhere. Great pizza, wonderful pastas, home made Italian desserts and full bar. We loved this place.

Super nice ambiance. Good food. Fire monkey pizza is hot and very tasty. We couldn't see anything because it was cloudy, but it's supposed to have a super view of the coast. Service was very friendly and helpful, if not too prompt (i wouldn't care saturday afternoon). Recommended.

My girlfriend and I went to Mae Culpa and we loved it. It was such a beautiful place that had amazing views of the mountains. There was even a telescope set up for people to use. The restaurant was clean, well decorated, and the service was wonderful. We ordered the Pizza Romana which was DELICIOUS! You could taste how fresh the ingredients were. Could not think of a cooler place to have a meal, we will definitely be back!
