Soda Matapalo

Great stop on our way from the airport in Liberia to Bahia Langosta. Solid Soda experience. Server did not seemed thrilled to see us, but it was well worth the stop. Empanada and arroz con pollo were superb. My Casado chuleta was really nice, with a fantastic beet-potato salad addition. Definitely worth putting on the radar.

We had a great meal! Our group of. One had a large variety of food. We absolutely enjoyed the hamburguesa, esparadados (sandwich), and tacos. When they tell you something is “grande” you should believe them!

Absolutely delicious breakfast and empanadas! Highly recommend as a stop if you’re passing through, or even just close by.

We loved the food and charm of this place. Roadside en route to Arenal from the beaches. Gallo Pinto was some of the best we have tried. Wanted to eat there again, but missed it when driving back. Would definitely visit again.

Excellent food and honest! Very clean friendly people! We try to eat local food when we travel and this was a really good choice.
