Friendly staff, big smile, especially the bartender!
Food was good! Drinks were good!
Great guacamole, nachos as well. Quesedillas good, chicking wings good.
Be aware that the service tax is a bit higher than usual(15٪). But to be fair, the service was good!

Super great and friendly staff. I love the vibe and attitude of the server. Very warm and welcoming. I love the three dogs. So friendly and they add happiness to the place. The food was great. We had the chips and salsa. Delicious!! I ordered, the flautas plate, and my son had the quesadilla. All was amazing. Food price was great. The restaurant is right outside of Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

Great little spot with lots of ambiance. Margaritas are huge at a great price point for value. Owner is on site, helpful and personable. Gorgeous outdoor pool. General store has everything you might need when you first arrive (including a much needed sun hat!). Check out this quaint location that has so much to offer near the beach!

I loved eating and hanging out at this restaurant/bar! Ernesto gave 5 star service every visit and made tasty cocktails. Yesenia prepared delicious Costa Rican food and ensured I was satisfied with each dish. The atmosphere was chill and a good place for single travelers or families.

Fantastic food and super friendly staff! We went 3 nights in row because it was SO delicious and also really reasonably priced. The nachos are amazing and so are the tacos (el pastor is my favourite!). The manager, Ernesto, is a great guy and his wife is the awesome cook!

Amazing restaurant and bar. The most well priced in the area. Amazing food and good prices. The bar is a great atmosphere with amazing workers. Love the drinks here. The blended margaritas are to die for. Definitely recommend!

We were sent to Malinches Restaurant by our host while staying at villa Luna. The margaritas and tacos were amazing! Everything we ate was yummy and always fresh! And a special thanks to Ernesto! He was friendly, efficient, and very welcoming and gave us ideas of places to visit while in Costa Rica. Whether you were eating at the restaurant or needing something from the Palm Beach Market, Ernesto was nothing short of excellent! Thank you for making our first trip to Costa Rica a pleasurable experience!

What a great find! We were referred to this place by some local Costa Ricans who told us this was the best piña colada in Playa Grande, and it did not disappoint! Ernesto was a fantastic, friendly, and attentive host. The spicy pork nachos were surprisingly delicious… we couldn’t get enough. Also recommend the fish tacos. And the homemade pineapple-chili hot sauce was incredible, we even bought a bottle to bring home. Beautiful outdoor patio for dining and meeting other guests. We wish we were staying longer, we could eat here every night! Highly recommend.

Clayton is a great bartender, server, and host! His margaritas are a must, and he helped us plan activities throughout our stay.

Food/Drinks: We ordered the flauta appetizer and the street tacos - all very good & the best tacos we had during our stay! (Had the beef, pork al pastor and chile verde). Their homemade sauce with the chili peppers they home-grow in the back was delicious - the right amount of sweet and spicy 🔥

Service: Great service!! Extremely welcoming and friendly.

Atmosphere: Being fairly new, this place is very clean and the set up is very cool! Much more space than we thought under a hut-type vibe.

Convenience: We didn’t stay here, but it has a really nice pool set up outside + a little market next to it that has all the basic needs!

We really enjoyed everything that we ordered. We ate here twice on our week long stay. Even the chicken fingers were outstanding! Ernesto is a wonderful host/bartender.

Visited the area for 4 nights. We went to Malinches Street tacos for the last 3 (plus one breakfast) because it was so amazing. Ernesto, the evening waiter/bartender extraordinaire, is the best. He made me a custom cocktail that knocked my socks off. I had two each time i went 🤪. The owner of the space has turned it into a hangout for the locals in the area and his two rescue dogs who are cute as can be, roam the tables politely asking for pets and some food. All those perks aside, the food is reason enough to check this place out. The chips are fried to order and the flautas are hand rolled and fried on the spot. Guacamole 10/10. Wish we could live at this establishment, honestly.

With dining options limited in Playa Grande, this is one of my go-to's. The al pastor street tacos are big hit! Very reasonably priced for the quality you get.

This place changed tacos forever for me. If you are in Playa Grande, this is one place you should NOT miss. Literally, the best tacos I've ever had, and I love tacos. The nachos were legit, quesadillas were on point, drinks were tasty. Pura vida!

Ernesto was fabulous. Not only did he accommodate our food needs but also offered insight about the area. The street tacos and nachos were fabulous. 5 stars to the cooks. The market nearby offered some standard items. Would love to see more local fruits and vegetables. Our pineapple and eggs were first class.

Ernesto is the man! Super accommodating and welcoming. But most importantly the food is awesome. Fresh and tasty. We had the best ever tacos and chicken wings here. Will definitely come back and explore other items on their menu.

Only have great things to say about Malinches! It has a casual, laid back vibe that was perfect for our family. The food and drinks were delicious and very reasonably priced. (Our faves were the nachos and quesadillas.) Ernesto, the manager, is a great guy and very knowledgeable. We loved it so much we went multiple times during our one-week stay in Palm Beach Estates, Playa Grande.

Tacos were very, very good. They were piled very high with filling, almost an additional taco or two of filling left on your plate after eating the assembled tacos. The pineapple pepper sauce for the topping was incredible. Made in house and absolutely took the tacos to the next level of deliciousness.

Place was super nice, and the bartender was incredibly friendly. Food was pretty okay but the drinks and nice atmosphere made up for it. We really felt taken care of here, and would definitely come back again.
