Hotel Mar de Luz

It's our second time here. We love this place. Owner and staff are really nice. Breakfast is good. Very close to town and beach. Safe parking. Nice pools with a little kids's pool in the middle. Lots of iguanas on site. Luxurious vegetation. As a bonus, a couple of Scarlet Macaws are flying over the place everyday.

Great clean older style rooms with cold ac and free breakfast. Nice pool and jaccuzi.Staff was really nice . Secured parking. I would stay here again.

I am a local Costa Rican and I stayed in this hotel for the first time, first of all I would really want to appreciate the excellent service that this place have.
To be honest, was an option last minute me and my family want to stay another day close to the ocean from Sunday to Monday
I have travel a lot that I can say is betting is amazing rest so well very calm and quiet family oriented, secure
I didn’t meet the owners, but based on my experience, I can assure you, this is the place that you will be looking for to stay in Jacó away from the noisy city walking distance to the ocean and all the amenities that Jaco have to offer
The guys in the kitchen, give us a smile when they serve our daughter the breakfast I’ll let a picture down after my review

This is one of a kind place affordable price , convenient for families

This place is in Jaco. You can either park your car on the side of the road in front of the entrance or there's a parking with a locked gate, where we parked. The pool area is nice. It was a pretty quiet time on Sunday. The rooms are nice and clean. They showed us 3 different options room. The rooms on the 2nd floor ( where we stayed) has double beds, a bathroom, shower, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker. The floor below it has rooms that had a kitchen. The 3rd option they showed us was the coolest room. It also has the full kitchen. Our room was hot when we arrived. It took some time to cool down after we turned the A/C on. We got free breakfast that you can choose 3 different options.

I was very pleased with everything and everyone..definitely recommend this place...and the breakfast is terrific!

Stayed here for a few nights together with my wife. It was a nice little getaway, and even though it is close to the main street, it is very quiet. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting jaco. oh and not to forget, the owner of the hotel (Victor) is pretty great too.

Awesome hotel! We arrived at 7:30 in the morning and they were able to have a room ready for us in 15 minutes! They also arranged a driver for us from the airport, so that took some stress away. The room was clean and nice. Breakfast was the star of the show, it was delicious. The pool was clean and kept up with and there was a cool garden. Location was great as well. And as a final bonus, the owner has really cute dogs. I’ll definitely be staying here on my next trip to Jaco!

It is a very conservative place for a family environment, swimming pools for kis and adults.
Breakfast is very good.
Rooms are just one step from the swimming pools.

Amazing breakfast, location close to everything! Owner and every single staff member was so hospitable. great pool and gorgeous hotel grounds around the animals so tropical and lovely maintenance. Cosy and just lovely!

This is a great hotel to stay. The location is phenomenal, and the staff members are very friendly. If I ever go back to visit Costa Rica, I'm staying here.

We loved our 2 week stay! The room was clean and very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Clean pool, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. If we ever find ourselves in Jaco again, this is where we will stay.

I don't know how you could find a better Hotel for the price. The room was big, clean, very nice. You want big cushy mattresses with duvets and thick comforters? Stay somewhere else. This is a good value and the hotel staff was wonderful. Nice grounds with two pools and a hot tub.

AWESOME place for families and relaxation.Food and pool are great. Personnel is very kind you can see the owner walking around making your stay even more enyoyable. Place is beautiful, macaws right in front of the hotel. We left a case at the room and hotel proactively contacted us to report the incident,even better the owner of the hotel personally sent the piece of luggage to our address with no cost. Great place to stay! Clean, safe, and friendly atmosphere. Although we weren't traveling with our children... the area they had set aside the pool area was extremely inviting. Quiet poolside lounging while we were there. Breakfast in the morning was delicious... and great service. Lastly, the location was central to great shopping areas, restaurants, Jaco beach, and tourism hubs (zip line, off roading, and atv rides). I really enjoyed my stay here with family.

Great location but not right in the middle of busy Jaco. The owner is so nice! Nice, clean pools (yes, pools). Hot water, nice, comfy rooms and beds. We were staying at hostels and Airbnbs most of the trip and this was our first hotel so it felt luxury to us! The staff was nice and with all the debauchery that takes place in Jaco, it was nice to find a quiet, safe place.

Really nice family hotel. Large rooms, delicous breakfast, friendly staff. This place has got it all. It's also in the midst of the boulevard without any noise nuisance. A perfect place!

A wonderful little hotel in Jaco. Family oriented but when we stayed there was almost no one there.

Great location clean rooms beautiful pools .flora &fona...breakfast included.. The staff was very friendly I think because I'd hunched speak Spanish but it was a great stay and a great price

Clean facility with many lovely iguanas. Two warm swiming pools open practically all the time. Very good service, nice people.
