We loved the food and service! One of the best sodas around. Delicious food cooked on a traditional, wood-fired oven. You can really tell everything is made with love. Make sure to get an agua fresca in the traditional, cold, metal cup.

Best authentic food we've had. Bano had toliet paper and the service was nice. Expect heat and a few flying bugs but this is Costa Rica. Pura Vida!!

Great food and service. Nice stop on our way from the beach to Monte Verde. We recommend any of the casada plates and the juices.

Had a great time talking to the owner, who works here with his mother (already going 25 years). The juice is great, fresh off the backyard trees! We tried the mora and tamarind juice, which was amazing and got a fresh banana as a snack. Best pitstop between Monteverde and Samara!

Great place for a quick bite. Food made with love like your grandma would make for you. Everything was tasty and fresh. We even stopped by on the way back for breakfast.

Beautiful, authentic soda with true Costa Rican cuisine right off of the main highway. I got the casado with chicken, and I could not recommend it more — so much flavor. The service was amazing, and the family that owns the restaurant is so incredibly kind and warm.

Very friendly staff with traditional food of very good quality

Nice surprise on the way to Samara! Very friendly service, good food and great value for money. The food was simple but very tasty; our kids (1,3 and 5 years old) - usually only willing to eat fries - devoured the beef soup (meal of the day). The ceviche, fish fajitas and very refreshing cas juice were also very good. Plus clean toilets :-)

Simple outside layout, but perfect food. Got casado with chicken, and was one of the best that we got this trip. This is a perfect stop between the coast and San Jose.
