What an awesome hardware store they have all the items that you would need to fix, build, or renovate your house!

Excellent hardware and house supply store. They have had everything we needed to begin stocking our house with tools, lights, garden supplies, etc. The prices are comparable to most of the other stores I've explored and they had quite a bit more variety.
The staff is kind and was patient with this very little Spanish speaking customer.
They verify all tools have everything displayed on the box which I found to be a nice extra customer service point.
Highly recommend if you need any household hardware supplies while in Jaco.

The staff were super helpful with what I was looking for. The stock person found someone so I could ask my questions better in English. They have a lot of stuff packed in that place. A lot of useful and really random stuff as well. Stuff I haven't found other places.

El Lagar is Jaco's biggest and most complete building supplies and home and garden hardware store. It's located right downtown, neighboring Pops ice cream shop as you head off Avenida Pastor Diaz up Pops St, which is actually called Calle Lapa Verde (green macaw street). A couple blocks further up Pops St is another building supply store, the Ferretaria (which translates as the hardware store). And if you go all the way up Pops St to the highway and turn right and drive one block, you'll find Jaco's other building supply store, Maderas Garabito (which translates as Garabito lumber). We have no shortage of well-stocked hardware stores in Jaco!

I like shopping in this store for home improvement items. Some of the staff speak English and are very happy to help.

Good place to shop for parts for repairs, etc. Like a Home Depot or Lowes.

A Costa Rican Home Depot. Only differrnce is that Workers are extremely helpful
