Restaurante Sotavento

We’ll recommended local, family owned restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and tasty food. Service was great.

Super super good, if you are staying near by or just passing through stop at this authentic little restaurant. The guy pumping our gas at the local gas station suggested this place to us and we were so happy we followed his suggestion! Friendly staff and amazing food. I don’t often write reviews and perhaps it was because my husband and I just drove our small little rental car for 3 hours on small pot hole filled roads and we were hungry but it was great!!!
My husband had the chifijos and loved it and I tollowed the waitresses suggestion for the sopa azteca (pictured!) it came in a super tasty artisan bread bowl, a small but good side salad... and the soup itself was so tasty!!

Maribel was an extremely kind and friendly host who cooked amazing food. Highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again whenever I come back to the area :)

Family business with a lot of love

Very delicious and great service! There is a good selection of choices and all the ones we tried were quite yummy. We ate here twice in 24 hours. Delicioso!

Great food - rice, beans, noodles, salad, and meat. Very friendly family! Had a rocking horse available for our toddler.

Nos quedamos hospedados en el hotel y termales el Guayacán muy cerca del pueblo de Guayabo, venimos al pueblo a ver algo diferente y nos encontramos con este bar restaurant que la verdad fue muy buena la comida, el servicio el ambiente a todos local que venga por esta área le recomiendo visitar este lugar. Soy muy quisquilloso y créame que este lugar no los va a decepcionar. Preguntar por doña Maribel la mejor. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Guayabo nos pillaba de paso en nuestra ruta y tomamos la mejor decisión al parar en Sotavento. La comida estaba buenísima, tienen una carta muy extensa para todos los gustos y el personal es encantador. Nos hicieron muy buenas recomendaciones en el momento de escoger los platos. ¡Muy recomendable!

Bonito restaurante en Guayabo de Bagaces. Muy limpio y agradable, precios accesibles en pollo y cerdo. Recomendado si van de camino al Sector Santa María o las termales de Fortuna (Miravalles)
