Parque Nacional Cahuita Sector Puerto Vargas

It's basically a long wooden trail of 2 km full of jungle and animals, at the end you get to an amazing beach, and come back. Notice to arrive no later than 3 hours before the closing time, if you want to spend time on the beach. It has showers and all, and we saw sloths, monkeys and many little animals.

This is amazing place definitely worth visiting. It is the only national park I know of that works only on donations. The nature is amazing! You go through the forest from the entrance. The walk includes several different vegetations. The most interesting parts are monkey area (after a few km, you will easily see them), and coral beach for swimming. We also saw amazing blue butterflies and some other interesting insects and crabs. Unfortunatelly did not spot any slots. It is a nice walk (8 km all way through I would say), you got in at one side, but exit the other. You end up at a bus stop called national park on the road, 3 km outside city area, not in the town. So I put a recent bus schedule too.

Bathrooms, fresh water and showers are available here. It's the end of one trail on a board walk through the jungle to another that follows the coast line of the Caribbean Sea.

Amazing beaches and jungle walks. You can enter from the ranger station south of Cahuita or in the town it's self. The cost is $5 US per person but residents get a big discount I think it was 1,000 colones for adults and $500 for children. There are toilets and showers here as well. Gates close at 4. Great to walk with some food and drinks and find your very own beach! Be careful not to sit under coconut trees however there are some really good shady spots along the way you can post up at. Looked great for snorkeling at the point. We saw some cool fish and armies of hermit crabs! Try to find an empty shell for them to move into. Please remember their is no fishing or collecting of shells at this national Park so just come and enjoy the beauty. Please don't feed the local animals as some of them have become a little too comfortable with humans and will actually approach you and try to take your food. Help keep it clean and maybe consider picking up any trash you may see. It is possible to park outside the gate at the southern ranger station and walk in after they close for a nice sunset Beach mission. There is a bus that will take you from the top back down to the southern ranger station road but it is a little bit difficult to navigate if your Spanish is mediocre or less. There is an elevated walkway that goes through the jungle about a 2k walk that keeps you away from the creepy crawlies but still able to view the jungle if you're a little squeamish about those things. Enjoy yourself! Pura Vida!!

Un lugar increíble, el cobro es una aportación voluntaria y hay guías si lo requieren (C. 15,000 x persona) es un lugar donde la selva y la playa conviven en uno solo.
Logras ver mariposas de muchos colores, amplía familias de monos, hormigas, mapaches y no fue d EMI suerte pero dicen que hay muchos perezosos.

El parque es maravilloso, puedes disfrutar de un paseo magnífico viendo monos, osos perezosos, alguna serpiente.... una maravilla y además disfrutando de baños en playas vírgenes. Dicen que son 8km pero realmente son más, yo diría que al menos 10. Es bueno ir temprano porque hace calor. Lo bueno es entrar por cahuita y acabar en parro vargas que en la pizzeria que hay justo al salir te llaman a un taxi para volver a Cahuita a por el coche. Una maravilla

La compra del ticket de entrada se hace en el lugar, muy rápido, se puede pagar en efectivo o tarjeta... Amplio parqueo y parqueo para autos de personas con discapacidad... Bastantes senderos donde se pueden ver bastantes animales como perezosos, mapaches, serpientes, etc... Se puede acceder a Playa Vargas... Se puede ingresar alimentos no preparados (tipo snacks), bebidas (no alcohólicas)... El lugar en si, es muy bonito, hay mucho para disfrutar, ver y hacer... Es recomendable llegar desde temprano para poder disfrutar de todo lo que ofrece...

Me gustó mucho este sector del parque nacional porque tiene una rampa adecuada para silla de ruedas hasta llegar a la playa, los guardaparques fueron muy amables

Sencillamente maravilloso, un sendero de 2.3 Km sobre madera. Accesible para personas en silla de ruedas, rodeado de selva, se ven monos y otros animales. Hay que llevar los alimentos y bebidas en empaques reutilizables pues al parque no se ingresa plástico. El parque tiene un amplio parqueo donde el vehículo queda seguro. Cuenta con duchas y baños. Llevar zapatos cómodos, la caminata es larga. La playa es hermosa y el parque cuenta con otros senderos mucho más largos.

Muy hermoso lugar con un sendero de unos 6.7 kilómetros la mayor parte bordeando la playa, se puede entrar por cahuita o puerto vargas , por puerto vargas tienes 2 kilómetros de pasarela con majestuosa vegetación y fácil acceso hasta para silla de ruedas hasta la playa .. hay parqueo grstis dentro del parque

El parque es increíble, pero déjeme explicar, que este lugar, no es un lugar de esparcimiento, olvídese de comida canchas de cualquier tipo, piscina, etc, esto es un sitio para la conservación de especies animales de la zona, así que mucho de lo que preguntan por este medio, no tiene ninguna relevancia con ningún Parque Nacional en el país, y menos es un lugar para traer a pasear perros, ni gatos, ni ningún tipo de mascotas, tampoco es un lugar para pinic, ni muchas cosas que se preguntan aquí, que no tienen absolutamente nada que ver con la conservación, y visitación a estos lugares.

Un lugar exuberante en vegetación muy hermoso con sus árboles de gran altura y dimensiones q de mucha frescura por su sombra atraves de sus 2 kilómetros de pasarela, donde fácilmente puede transitar sillas de ruedas , coches de ñino y niños pequeños o personas adultas, al entrar por puerto vargas se encuentra la casetilla donde la entrada es de menos de mil colones y parqueo gratis dentro del parque, donde tienen baños antes de iniciar la caminata, al llegar también hay baños y ducha cerca de la playa muy hermosa de arena blanca, los que gustan de hacer senderismo se pueden aventurar hasta un máximo de 6.5 kilómetros más bordeando la playa llegando a cahuita, pueden devolverse desde donde quieran o llegar a cahuita tomar transporte para ir al estacionamiento de la entrada donde se dejo el vehículo

Es un lugar paradisíaco. Arenas blancas, diferentes tonos de azul y agua cristalina. Se puede ver mucha variedad de flora y fauna. También cuenta con senderos bien delimitados para que nadie se pierda

Precioso! Una caminata de unos 2 kilómetros, el sendero está cubierto por árboles lo que lo hace agradable, playa de agua cristalina y óleo ja perfecto.
