Blue Dream Hotel

We stayed here for a month in Nov. Awesome, we loved the people and the scene. Everyone is so friendly. Took kiting and wing lessons. The instructors were great. They had a fabulous cook during the time we were here, so we hardly ate any where else, but they will also give you recommendations to the best places around. The only downside I can think of is that there is really nothing close by except the beaches. So if you don't have a vehicle it is a bit more of a challenge to get around. Looking forward to our next trip here.

Love this place. I'd highly suggest. The owners Nicoli and Jocelyn are wonderful and so kind. Great service, one of the most beautiful areas in CR. Great place to stay for families, friend get aways, and even solo trips. A lot to see in this area. Thanks again for everything guys. See you again soon!!!

Lovely hotel with private cabins. Really kind owners. I like how kind they are to animals too. Great water pressure in shower, excellent WiFi. Really recommend this chilled out spot as a place to stay. Great places to eat around here too. The owners gave us super recommendations.

The owner was very friendly and responsive. The restaurant wasn’t open because it was off season so he drove me down the street to a roadside place that had chicken! He didn’t have to do that. Going back again today. Both times were just a quick stop, but great place. I would definitely recommend this place!

Great spot with view of the bay, very close to the kite beach. Our room was perfect for relaxing in a natural environment and food was top👆

Had to stay here due to an issue with the border crossing and it ended up being such a nice evening I wanted to stay longer. Beautiful view of the bay, delicious pizza a couple of nights a week, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I want to come back and spend a week to learn to kite board which is one of the main attractions. For the price I doubt you could find better.

I love this place! The photos don't do it justice. The views from the rooms are amazing and the cabiñas have been built with that in mind as they have big floor to ceiling windows and doors stepping out onto a terrace. The pizza in the restaurant is great. Staff are super friendly. Very chilling place.

This is the place to stay if you're serious about kiteboarding. If you're still taking lessons then maybe the other places are good too, but if you want to kite at the best spot on the beach - upwind, easy launch + land at any tide, laze in the shade in hammocks, food service, shuttles, rentals etc, then Blue Dreams is your spot.

Restaurant serves good breakfast, will deliver lunch to the beach, and serves great dinners by an Italian chef.

Don't worry about coming here alone, if you're a kiter you'll be welcomed into the group.

I had the best experience at this hotel! A friend and I did the stay package with kite boarding lessons and it was a fantastic time. I had never kite boarded before and our instructor Bungee was patient and all around great teacher. The food was great at the restaurant and the staff were lovely. The owners were very accommodating and the rooms were clean, would definitely stay again!! 😊

Didn’t stay at the property, but took a kite surfing lesson with Nicola. Absolutely great instructor and very memorable experience. If you are thinking about it, do it!

I really loved it here. One of my top 10 places (38 countries to date and maybe 250 places). Beautiful views from your room / outdoor sitting area. Amazing Kite instruction. And just plain a cool vibe. (Met several friends for life.)

Fantastic place. Awesome staff and Guiseppe makes delicious food. The rooms are perfect and the hotel is located close to the beach.

Kite lessons were great! Managed to go from zero to Riding in less than 6 hours.

A great place to stay and visit. The hotel is comfortable and has a great view of the bay. The restaurant is super good, awesome pizzas. It has the best kiteboarding spot in Costa Rica, and possibly in Central America. We highly recommend the Blue Dream Hotel.

Had a Wingfoil lesson with Stein, learned a lot in a short period time, he was very knowledgeable and gave excellent tips. Unfortunately we could not finish the course due too strong wind, this is appreciated too as safety was priority! 👍

We were lucky enough to book a place here due to issues with our previous accommodations. They happily accommodated us - we stayed in the bungalow and the room was clean. The restaurant is good and prices are reasonable. They have a good setup when taking lessons or just kitting - you can order food from the restaurant and it is brought down to the area where you are surfing.

Lessons are great! Nicola, the owner, was my instructor and was awesome!

My girlfriend had a small issue with one of the instructor and I spoke with Nicola - he took her for a lesson and provided a discount as well as put a smile on my gf face to the point where she is pumped about continuing to learn how to kitesurf. So for those who have reviewed earlier stating that the owner is not nice clearly have not tried to reason with him. Nicola took the time to understand our concerns and felt compelled to make things right. No place is perfect and no one is perfect but he and his team made the necessary efforts to make us feel welcomed and wanting to come back.

I rarely write reviews, especially only a few days into my stay but this place is epic! Amazing wind, friendly staff, delicious food delivered right on the beach and amazing accommodations. Blue Dream is definitely a kiters paradise. Already planning our trip for next year and we still have 10 days left!

Walked in off the road. Pleasant surprise! Basic with a stunning view which is a 5 star in my book. The restraunt served me a great Italian meal, from a experienced Italian chef. I never order dessert but, I was so pleased with my dinner, I just kept going. Forgot the name of the Italian dessert but it was so lite and nice. I highly recommend staying at Blue Dream. It’s obvious Nicola and Jocelyn are kind and caring people who truly want you to have a good kiting experience. They’ve been doing this a long time!

As a non-kiter, I truly enjoyed the suite and great wifi. I was able to get some work done during our stay. As an animal liver, I adored the resident dogs and cats. The walks to the beach and area provided much needed exercise!

My husband, the kiter, truly appreciated Nicola’s welcoming manner and expertise. Although he didn’t need lessons, he enjoyed the collaborative community. Everyone helped launch each other and looked out for one another. Nicola also arranged for “The Kite Doctor” to repair his kite. Thank God! He also gave Brent a key to access the gates needed to get to the beach as we had a car and could go on our own. It was awesome.

You can get breakfast and lunch at the restaurant; the pizza is great. There are other tasty restaurants in the area along with a grocery store nearby. Honestly, if you need anything, both J & N will help you out. We even got our laundry done.

The hotel allows you different kind of standards. I always stayed in the lower category which was absolutely fine for me as my main objective was kite surfing. The rooms had a beautiful view on the bay which makes already my day in the morning!

Incredible experience!! Basic rooms, but just a killer vibe and Nicola is inspirational in what he can do on the water. Also, the wind is pretty much guaranteed every day in the winter season, but it can get Very strong every once in a while
