Worth every penny. The boat and scenery was beautiful. Such a cool experience and the staff were incredible. Full service - good food and good drinks! We saw tons of fish and a stingray snorkeling!

I so wish I could give you 10 stars! All I can say is if you’re thinking of going on this spectacular cruise DO IT!!! The crew can’t do enough for you they spoil you rotten! The drinks the food it’s all amazing! Thank you so much for such a great time. You totally made our trip to Costa Rica even better 😎🍸🍺

Overall a very good experience! We were bummed the sunset tour was booked up and that snorkeling had to be cut down due to the current/waves/wind, but that’s how it goes sometimes. The food and drinks were great, and the views were better (we saw dolphins)!

The staff was very friendly. My cup was never empty! I lost my sunglasses overboard when we got to the snorkling location and dove until he retrieved them! Such an awesome experience!

We had a wonderful experience! The boat was spacious with a large covered area, full bar with custom drinks, beer, water and soda. The meal provided was very good as well! More than enough food. The boat was not overcrowded and we had a great time with snorkeling and visiting a private beach. The staff was incredibly friendly and service was impeccable!

This was a really fun experience! I wanted to see the beautiful shoreline, do some swimming, and see the sunset over the ocean, and this delivered! The staff were very friendly, fun, and energetic. Half way through the voyage, you get to snorkel and/or swim at a small but absolutely pristine private beach, and eat a classic Costa Rican lunch (rice, beans, and chicken). The front of the boat has a woven webbing floor that has the ocean underneath, and if you sit on it, you are fully immersed in the environment as the boat sails. We were lucky and saw a pod of dolphins swimming and jumping out of the water! They swam directly under me for a few minutes as I sat on the webbing floor. It was a truly special moment. And of course the sunset was beautiful.

One thing that is important to note is that the boat has a very fun and upbeat vibe. It's an open bar with nice liquor so people get rowdy. The seating is limited, so most guests need to stand on the deck or sit on the webbing for a good chunk of the journey. You also need to get into a dingy at the beach as the dingy bobs around in the tide, which is very challenging for anyone with limited mobility. Also note that the swimming, snorkeling, and beach portion of the trip is approximately an hour and a half - for some this is plenty of time and for others it may seem too short.

To me, none of these details were problematic. I loved the upbeat energy, had a ton of fun, met great people, and loved the views. However, if you are looking for a quiet, narrated tour of sea creatures, with plenty of space to sit, this tour simply is not what you're looking for.

Super amazing time on this catamaran tour. The views were stunning, the crew made everyone feel like they were old friends, and they were exceptionally organized. The crew was extremely helpful to ensure everyone boarded safely. Great food and drinks. Snorkeling for the adventurous, dive off the side of the boat if you are just plain loco, or take a tour of the beach. I enjoyed every moment of my tour and would love to do it again.

Catamaran afternoon sunset cruise was absolutely perfect! Clean, large boat. The entire crew was extremely friendly and hospitable. The drinks and lunch were a perfect addition to the sail and snorkeling. Great excursion! Highly recommend!

Great tour. Great value. Awesome experience. Extremely friendly staff serving drinks thought. Lunch was better than expected with chicken l, rice, fruits and more. I am glad we went through our hotel and not the"guy" on the beach. Only thing I would have loved if the were using the sail which they didn't.

Cannot say enough good things about this experience. The crew was incredibly friendly and attentive. 1 hour ride out to a beautiful, natural beach. Saw a few fish while snorkeling, cooled off in the water, and did a little exploring on the beach. Afterwards we all came back to the boat and had a yummy lunch consisting of bbq chicken, rice, beans, pico, chips, and cookies. Finished it off by watching the sunset. I even saw some tropical dolphins, a shark, and a jumping sting ray. Piña Coladas and Mojitos were great. Seriously awesome way to spend a day!

You won't believe the magical Christmas Eve we experienced aboard the Marlin Del Rey catamaran! The crew pampered us like royalty from start to finish on this smooth sailing voyage. Just imagine - we spotted a pod of playful dolphins and even a mama pilot whale with her adorable baby. The refreshing waters off Playa Negra were the perfect playground as we spent hours swimming and snorkeling to our hearts' content. And the food? To die for! Savory grilled chicken, rice, beans, fresh pico de gallo, juicy fruits, crisp salads and homemade chocolate chip cookies that melted in our mouths. As the sun set in a blaze of glory, capping off a perfect day, we serenaded each other with the 12 Days of Christmas. This was a Christmas Eve we'll treasure forever. Kudos to the amazing Marlin Del Rey captain and crew for a magical experience!

Great trip! We did the afternoon Catamaran trip from Playa del Coco. The Catamaran was large with about 50 people onboard, there is a roofed area that can fit about 20 people comfortably. The food that was served was excellent: rice, chicken wings, salads, fruit and chips. There was a lot of food so people could have grabbed seconds if needed. The water was a little murky for snorkeling but the winds had been very strong for the 2 days prior. I recommend checking the wind speeds the week before booking if you can. We changed our booking from a 40km wind day to a 25km wind day and it was much nicer.

We saw a few fish and there is a nice beach to walk along if you do not snorkel. They provide all the gear for snorkeling, including flippers also. On the way back in the evening we got to watch the sunset from the boat and we also saw dolphins and jumping sting rays.

So much fun! Asked to go super last minute and they were very responsive compared to other boat tour companies. Amazing snorkeling, one of the boat guides found an octopus and pufferfish for us. Great staff, very attentive and the sail boat is amazing!

Brought my two kids and wife along for a sunset cruise and we had a fantastic time. The crew was very helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed swimming and visiting a cool beach. Highly recommended!

We did this excision as the rehearsal dinner for our wedding, and our guests loved it! This was actually the second time I have ridden on the Marlin del Rey. Andre and his crew are so wonderful and accommodating. They make it a top priority to make sure people are safe, but having fun. Also, the food they serve on board is phenomenal. I can’t recommend this excursion enough. Definitely make this a priority.

We had an absolute BLAST with Marlin Del Rey! We booked two private catamarans for our wedding guests and we were able to sail together and spend 4 hours at sea with the awesome Marlin Del Rey crew! Jeff, the owner, was super helpful to set things up so that our guests could book individually beforehand...and once onsite, his team arrived to pick us up at our hotel on time and proceeded to provide an amazing experience for our guests! It was full of great food, fun in the ocean, delicious drinks, and an amazing sunset! We would highly recommend a cruise with Marlin Del Rey for your big group, or even just to sail with other strangers...it was so much fun!

Great sailing trip with this crew! We motored for a bit then stopped in a nice cove for snorkeling & swimming. The snorkeling was decent (the water was a bit cloudy, lots of fish to see). Lunch was very good & the crew did a great job of taking care of all of the guests!

Such a Fantastic day on the water from Playa Del Coco! The staff were so nice, the music, atmosphere, people, drinks & views were so awesome! I would have really enjoyed a better snorkeling spot. Hopefully you guys can change that. You still deserve 5 stars! Thank you for a fantastic day! =D
