El Nido del Condor Ecolodge

A once in lifetime experience. The rooms are dreamy, so comfortable, with breathtaking views. This is a very high standard glamping stay. The food is incredible , coming from their garden. The walk around the place are great. The little amount of tents made our stay very special. Staff is super friendly. We saw condors everyday. A unique experience not to be missed!

It is the perfect place to disconnect from the city for a few days and connect with nature. The landscapes, the comfort of the rooms, and the tasteful and gourmet food they offer, they will make an incredible place. And comfort is not everything, since they have different activities for all their guests, including hikes to see the Condors, going to the rivers, waterfalls and caves that are nearby. After all the activities, at night you can sit next to the bonfire and see the clearest sky, full of stars. It is definitely a magical place where you can connect with all the nature that Colombia has to offer.

Quiet an adventure to reach el Nido del Condor but it’s worth it and it’s hard to leave it. The view, the light, the amazing garden, all the animals. The best location to connect with nature. Rafael explained all the details of the ecolodge and gave so much information. I'm amazed by the design of the ecolodge and hope can see the video how it build because it's not easy to bring the material to the top of the mountain.

Wow, absolute BLISS! My partner and I travelled to El Nido del Condor for our honeymoon. From the moment you step into the Gondola until the moment you arrive on the isolated most beautiful mountain island, the experience is an absolute adventure where you can feel at peace and away from the chaotic city life.

We were treated like family. Special shoutout to Andres, the chef who cooks INCREDIBLE food and to Christian who guided us on a five hour hike to the nearby waterfall and back.

Marvelous place for bird watching and fans of nature in general. Don Jaime made a little piece of paradise. Thank you! We will be back, this time with our family and friends.

Wake up seeing El Nevado del Ruiz was super top, the attention, the guides, and the privilege of seeing the condor fly in front of your balcony pricesless, getting there’s already an experience whether on horseback or walking, the landscapes and breathing such pure air worth it 100%

Located just about 1:30min from Manizales (perfect location), El Nido Del Cóndor eco-lodge provides great hospitality. The hotel staff is very helpful, friendly and will guide u throughout your stay. The staff is humble and polite in nature/genuinely. The chef (Judith) is very friendly and her food is phenomenally good. The hotel’s outstanding glamping tents offer a full view of the most majestic and breathtaking landscapes - thick forest, rivers, gigantic snow-capped Nevado Del Ruiz. The trekking experience (Christian our guide) was awesome. What really makes this place unique is two impressive and sublime Andean condors that live here and can be easily watched early morning and/or evening. Yes! we do recommend to visit this hotel.

Stayed for three nights of absolute bliss. As a young British couple with near to no Spanish we were treated as if we were family. Staying 3 nights allowed us to see the majestic Condors on numerous occassions as well as appreciate the majesty of the entire site. We were able to take on additional guided hikes to take in the full glory of the area. This included a 4 hour trek to the river with picnic at no additional cost.

This is the type of place that makes a holiday, memorable, beautiful and delicious food. If you enjoy hikes, nature, relaxation and delicious food - this is a mandatory requirement. 3 nights allowed us to enjoy the full site. Christian and Valentina are the epitome of hosts. Looking forward to our eventual return.

A piece of paradise! El Nido was the highlight of our trip. Aside from the beautiful mountain top, the friendly team, first class meals overlooking the valley, we enjoyed hikes and staying in the most glamorous “tent”. Everything about El Nido is first class and beautiful!!

This is one of the most unique places In the world. A challenging drive, then a gondola ride to the top of a mesa in the midst of nature, to amazing accommodations and attentive staff. My husband and I spent 2 nights, ate excellent meals prepared by a gourmet chef, hiked to see the condors nest, and were blessed to see the condors soar above us and through the canons. The “tent” was very comfortable (love the bed!) and the shower with a view of the green mountains an added bonus.

So glad i came here. 1 night is not enough, 2 would have been perfect. You get to know all the staff, it is very intimate, very few tents which is perfect because you can relax and meals are manageable for all guests. The road there is pretty rough, i had to put 4wd on my pickup truck after all the rain!

Amazing place to share with family/friends and connect with nature to build lifetime memories. Five stars stay at a magical place with a friendly staff (Ingrid/Cristian and others) that makes you feel welcome. Chef Carlos martered every dish we had in our stay. Words can’t describe our experience, Nido Del Cóndor is a marvelous place to spend time with nature . The tents are very comfortable, the staff was the best , the food out of this world, viewing of the Condors flying was majestic , Jaime and Yamile are always there to see that everything runs smoothly. Will recommend it without hesitation !

Amazing, one-of-kind experience! Gorgeous views, attentive staff, and delicious food! Would absolutely go back and recommend. Sighting the condors was incredible, but there are tons of other birds and flora to see as well!

We had a great time!
Ideal if you are looking for something different, in the middle of nature and have some peace. You can do trekking, mtb bike on top of the mountain “island”, bird watching, the Condors, and if the weather helps see the “Nevado del Ruiz”. We spent some days with kids (7 and 4) and it was amazing.
Highlights: nature, excellent food, services and attitude of owners and personal. Precautions: the las 1 hour off road to the site can be challenging depending on your vehicle. Also if you have them, take your best trekking shoes and clothes.

Amazing experience. I can't express how amazing this was, from the view, the cable car, the staff, the chef, the owners, they went far and beyond to make us feel VIP. It was so peaceful and beautiful. I can't recommend this place enough. Jaime (The owner) and his staff are top notch. Obviously, watching the Condor was crazy amazing!

Most amazing place in the world. This is a family owned and operated vacation retreat. Their story is amazing. The father and his two sons designed and built this place and they now run it. To get there, you cross a ravine on a gondola while your car is safely locked in their concrete garage. These folks have invested in the infrastructure, it is truly first-class. We called it our Mountain Sky Island because you are at the top of a mountain that is surrounded by ravines and hillsides. The only way in is by gondola or hiking trail. You sleep in a tented room with private toilet and shower. From your private shower you gaze out into the forested river ravine. The condor nest is very close by and if you are patient you might see the pair flying around. They provide three meals per day of high quality cuisine prepared by the resident chef. They spare no expense in keeping you comfortable and well fed.

Perfect place to relay and enjoy nature. Gourmet food, great service and experience. Close contact with nature, plants, birds and amazing views. The Condors were amazing flying in front and on top of us like showing off their beauty, plenty of other birds to enjoy as well.

This is truly a magical place. The whole getting to the place is an amazing adventure, the food is exquisite. The owners and employees are excellent people. The tents are a a dream and to see the condors flying is something incredible. I will totally go back. Thank you!!
