My room was on the small side but my friends got a pretty nice one, little noisy from the second floor.
Excellent service, great thermals, remote exotic location. Hope to be back.

A magical place all around.
The location is absolutely mind blowing: sitting at 3,500 mts, surrounded by hummingbirds, nature and clouds. At this altitude one is not sure if it’s the clouds or just the “regular” fog. The hummingbirds sanctuary provides you with a unique experiences (the birds come and eat off your hands). There are several paths you can explore in your own and one guided tour (included in the hotel’s price, please tip the guide though)
The personnel is very warm, professional, kind and prompt. It makes the experience whole.
The food is excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There are three hot pools with natural sprig water (at around 38-40 Celsius). Towels and bathrobes are provided and changed daily (or more often if you prefer, upon request)
There is a main building with regular rooms on two floors. The bottom floor is noisy due to the unruly tourists who may be lodged in the rooms upstairs. The top floor is better (feedback from our group of eight). There is a presidential suite on the top floor as well.
The piece de resistence is the “cabin” or “cabaña”, there is only one ATM, with two more planned. Despite its name is a steel, glass and concrete little cottage, very modern and very nicely done. It has a little kitchen (no cooker), a large king bed, a large living room, a dining area for four a deck and a private hot pool with freshwater heated by hot spring water going through a network of tubes underneath the structure. The polished concrete floors are also warmed by the same hot water tubes. It is a dream cottage, words can’t describe it well enough.
I recommend this place wholeheartedly. We will go back for sure.

Although the rooms a little small for the price the beds were super comfortable! And probably the best trout we’ve had so far! The restaurant was amazing. Included with the room was the hummingbird garden, and breakfast! (And the use of the thermal pools) the inside of the hotel was very nice!

Excellent hotel. The amenities are really nice. The view from the mountains is marvelous. You are able to see Manizales from the hotel. It has two hot springs. The one that is smaller has an incredible view from the mountain. The food is fantastic. But what I like the most was the hospitality because they could help you getting gas when we were running out. The hotel is a little remote because of the road. I will recommend a four wheel drive vehicle.

A beautiful hotel with a great history that dates back 80 years. First class service, excellent food, gardens and surroundings. If you are a bird watcher or serious photographer then you will love this place. Plan on staying at least two full days.

We bought a day pass to the hotel, we wanted to see the hummingbirds close, they come and feed from your hands, we also spotted other birds, did the walking tour around the area, had a wonderful lunch. We didn't go to the pool but had an amazing experience. The landscape is beautiful. Next time I want to spend at least 2 nights at the hotel. They have the options of staying at the hotel or just spending the day and use the facilities. The hotel is small so make reservations in advance.

One if the most amazing experiences of my life. Just beautiful. I had a stunning time in September. A hidden gem of Colombia.

The staff was great, very kind and helpful. My room had a rustic feel. The stone and wood features are a nice touch. My window opened to a stunning view of the gardens, mountains and valley below. With humming birds buzzing everywhere it was a sight to behold. After hiking for a while, a dip in the hot springs fed pool relaxed my sore muscles. The meals are delicious there as well.

I highly recommend this place for some one on one time with nature. The views are spectacular. Also recommend this place for any birding enthusiast. Humming birds by the hundreds. Not hard to spot an ant pita or two from the road or a mountain tanager over head. Please take the time and spot this hidden gem in Colombia.

This was one of the most magical places I've ever visited. The service, food, drinks, and rooms were wonderful. But it's the way they've incorporated the hotel into the natural beauty that makes it truly exceptional.

Great hide-out place, Perfect if you want to escape from the crowds, the office and need some Me time in one of the most beautiful scenes in Colombia. The Hummingbird sanctuary is a must visit during your stay. Great service and everything looks clean and safe.

This is a gorgeous murdern and rustic hotel! It is very near the Nevados Nacional Park so you can't beat that location, their restaurant food is good and for been such a remote area I did not find it expensive. You must do the hotel guided tour, you will HUMMINGBIRDS, explore the local trails and learn about the hotel history. One of the downsides of the hotel is that you can hear everything and if you have a light sleep that might be disturbing so bring a white noise machine!

This is a wonderful gem of the central Andes. It has been around for a long time but has recently been renovated and is a lovely and elegant resort with incredible hot springs and facilities. The two hot springs swimming pills and two hot tubs are open early and close late. The grounds also has nice trails and a great hummingbird garden with feeders and a two story pergola. Very good food and wine as well as a comfortable fire going all the time made my stay even better. And the views are wonderful and ever-changing. Definitely bring warm clothes to this part of Colombia as the hotel is at about 3700 meters (over 12,000 feet).

Words are not enough to share how great this hotel is. Location is fantastic, service and people are wonderful and prices are worth every cent.

This place is stupendous. The landscape architect that designed this place ought to get some type of award. For this reason alone, it is worth visiting. Add in the scenery and birds and you got a winner.

Beautiful surroundings, amazing hummingbirds, great thermal pool, and good food in the restaurant. But most of all the staff was very friendly and willing to help out whenever there was an issue. Highly recommend a couple days here!

Outstanding setting for a cozy mountain lodge with thermal hot springs, dramatic landscapes and colorful hummingbirds, tanagers and other birds. What's not to love!

Ik you dare to drive in the mountains its a wonderful place to watch birds en to relax in the thermales pool.
