Botanico Hostel

We stayed here as out final stop.in Colombia. The hostel is so great - the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating (we arrived at 3am and Duan greeted us and was so helpful), there is free coffee and ginger tea and such beautiful common areas to sit and enjoy. There is even free yoga and an indoor fireplace. Dorm beds are really spacious and wide. The vibe is lovely, calming and makes you feel like home. Thank you so much! Such epic value and in an amazing location.

Stayed here for two nights in March 2024 and it was excellent. 24 hour reception so it’s ok if you arrive from a vey late / early flight, clean comfortable rooms, beautiful roof terrace, super friendly staff, easy location. They also offer a bag storage service as well as a range of activities.

An excellent hostel to meet people from all over. If you're looking for a quiet spot this probably isn't for you. But if youre a solo traveler and looking for new friends this is the spot. The service is excellent and the workers here are incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming. So good im returning in a couple weeks

Incredible hostel in Bogotá, highly recommend to everyone I know going through.

It’s in an old building with lots of character, but the rooms are excellent with privacy curtains and a really special garden and rooftop.

Great location in the city close to everything you want to see as a tourist such as the historic Candelaria, museums and Montserrat.

Very chill social hostel with great information available from the desk at any time. I met some wonderful people here and had a blast!

We stayed in the apartment linked to the hostel. Absolutely well equipped and designed place. We could eat and make use of the hostel.services as well. Very kind and open-minded.

Had a really hard time to find a place to stay in Bogotá. Heard about the Botanico, and fell in love with this place in a second. Magical rooftop view, super welcoming staff and amazingly kind travelers who made the same decision as me to stay there. If you visit Bogotá, don’t think twice

This hostel has all you need!
The employees are so SO helpful! I am very grateful that Jorge, one the hosts, is always there to help you, and to go the extra mile to reach your needs!
The rooms are clean, and most of all; the environment is delicious to go out and finish your night with a hot soups and a beer amount fellow traveler. The plus is how close to everything you want. You can walk everywhere and the area is super safe and full of good restaurants, nightlife and bars!! say I to Jorge from the Rocha’s!!!
I LOVE IT

I loved the service given at this hostel. So, my flight from Bogota back home got cancelled. I searched for a place to leave my luggage (for only during the day), and they accepted my luggage with no charge. In addition to this, they told me I could use the couch to rest and grab coffee. Felt really comfortable there. Recommend 100%

Absolutely loved this place, such a warm and nice vibe. The breakfast is amazing, the chill area with all the blankets and mattresses, and of course the amazing terrace with the most amazing view in all of Bogota. The rooms are big and spacious, the beds are the most comfortable beds i’ve ever slept in a hostel.

Before coming to Bogotá, I heard so many recommendations for this place and it definitely lived up!
The hostel and its amenities are very nice, the garden is beautiful, and the location is great for discovering Bogotá.
It has a really social vibe, it isn’t too big and therefore not too overwhelming, and also offers space to relax. They organise several activities every night of the week, so you won’t ever get bored.
However, the very best part of the hostel is by far the staff! Everyone was super friendly and will make your time in Bogotá so much more amazing! Sergio, one of the world’s most passionate bar keepers, will give you an amazing introduction into the world of Colombia spirits and will make some of the best (and prettiest looking) cocktails you’ve ever tasted. Alejandra will take you on a fun pub crawl and introduce you to the locals brews. Carlos is an amazing yoga instructor that will help you with morning yoga, giving you an edge for the rest of the day. And last but most certainly not least, Jorge is the man you want to befriend if you want to get to know Bogotá night life….he has the key to the city and I enjoyed every night I was out with him.

So chill and still so many activities. A great view on Bogota from the Terasse. And the staff, including Daniel, Monica, Felix and Laura make it a comfortable home for the time in Bogota. Recommended for everyone, I enjoyed it so much!

The place is clean. There's plenty of shared bathroom with hot water. They have free filtered water to refill your bottle. Most of the staff is amazing. The bed is comfy and the duvet is amazingly warm for their cold nights. The place is really quiet at night so it easy to sleep. It's also easy to meet people. You have a bar on the ground floor and a place to chill inside. Both have a fireplace they light every night. On the first floor you have a kitchen and tables with a view of the mountains and city. As expected you have a lot of vegetation.
Breakfast is amazing. The cooks are good, they makes ajiaco one night which was the best I add so far with plenty of flavors.

I really enjoyed staying in this hostel. The staff are very friendly and the entire hostel is very clean. The beds are the nicest beds in a hostel I have ever used, the blankets are very cozy! Plus, they have free towels, coffee and tea! Not all hostels have this so it was a nice treat and I really felt at home! It’s a very relaxed vibe and the view on the terrace is incredible. 10/10 recommend!!

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in . The staff we friendly and welcoming, felt so safe. The bar and breakfast were amazing and the hostel offers yoga and salsa classes. So clean as well. Couldn’t recommend a hostel more.

My sister's phone got stolen at a festival. Jorge and Laura were so so helpful. They helped us to fill out a police report in Spanish. The best staff!

Stayed here only one night, but felt so warmly welcomed by Jorge at the reception, he showed us around the hostel which is so lovely with a lot a plants and a bar with such a good vibe! A lot of plants are around! Highly recommend the breakfast which you have to pay around 3$ for but it’s so good and plenty! Would have loved to stay longer!

Not the fanciest hostel I have been to, but amazing social environment, bar, and nightlife, great location (the Candelaria), delicious food offered (do try the dinner while you are here. They are better than many of the restaurants. The breakfast is solid as well), and it seems to attract great people from all over the world. Would recommend to anyone long who wants to meet other travelers, socialize, and be in a prime and fun part of the city to see what sights it has to offer (within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants, cafes, and attractions).

This is the one of best hostels I’ve been too in Colombia.
It is not a fancy hostel, the rooms might be rather small BUT it’s really cozy and social in the evening and during the night outside the bar becomes a very nice place to drink and chat.
Hot water in the shower, lockers, super nice stuff, great location.

If you’re a backpacker - look no further.

Wonderful views, area, and staff. Great value for your money. People here are very sociable.

The wonderfully friendly bartender makes her own aguardiente and its amazing! Good music is on from 9am to 11pm everyday, and breakfast is served for a small price per plate. Walking distance to cute strip of shops/market that has bars and food as well.
