Bosques del Samán

This hotel was quite charming and a bit rustic, and I would highly recommend it to Americans visiting Armenia, Colombia!
The young man (Juan) who tended the cow/bull and did the coffee tour, and his wife that was in charge of the rooms and bar area make this place really special. At 6:00 am/pm Juan allows guests that want to milk the cow. He was so kind to the animals!
The coffee tour was interesting and the coffee we roasted by fire was delicious!
The room itself was clean and comfortable.
The grounds were beautiful, with lovely views, a pool, and a game room/bar area.
The food served in the restaurant was local and delicious!

The place is a paradise on Earth! Nature, food, weather...everything was ideal!
It is well located for the trips around the region, but the road (last 3km from Alcala down the path Alcala-Filandia) is just horrific if you don't have a high terrain car. So many holes! Hopefully the owners of the local hostels and hotels are going to join and fix the road.

The food is amazing, portions very big and there are options for vegans too! Was sad to hear that I could not buy their cheese, but enjoyed it immensely. The swimming pool too. Everything was clean, people were so kind and helpful! We participated in the activities and I loved it, I learned a lot about coffee making and growing. We bought their coffee and it has wonderful aroma and tase, without the sour aftertaste (that majority of coffee in Europe has). Will definitely come back many times more!

Excellent rural Coffee Finca, beautiful location. The staff were fantastic, very attentive. Breakfast and Dinner is included and was great quality, really enjoyed this place. Perfect if you're looking to learn about growing and processing coffee ....☕

One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. the staff and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. They took us out ziplining on their property. The hotel itself is right in the coffee zone so it is quite temperate. Absolutely an amazing experience and would return here in a hearbeat :)

Acabo de vivir uno de los mejores paseos que he tenido. Es un sitio mágico, el hotel y sus instalaciones son perfectas para descansar y pasar un rato agradable en familia. Las vías de acceso muy buenas si se entra por Alcalá.

Recomendadisimo lugar para ´sar sus vacaciones, excelente atención, la zona de la piscina y el jacuzzi super recomendado y super aseada, lo mas lindo es ir a coger café con tu familia y hacer todo el proceso, dar tetero a los terneros es excelente para niños y adultos, las habitaciones muy comodas y muy aseadas, baños bonitos y con agua caliente, todo el lugar es precioso y la atencíon es muy buena, las comidas muy sabrosas y la carta con muha variedad. Espero que no vayan desmejorar algo.

Un lugar muy bonito y muy tradicional, petfriendly, grande y acogedor, el servicio excelente, lo único malo es la mala señal móvil y wifi del sector pero todo lo demás muy bien.

Estuvimos con mi familia en julio 2023, un lugar espectacular para descansar y conectar con la naturaleza. Hermosos paisajes, ambiente tranquilo.

El restaurante a mejorar, en cuanto a atención al cliente, se demoraban mucho o traían los platos de unos cuando los otros ya habían terminado. Más organización en el restaurante sería genial. Las chicas del servicio amables.

A mejorar la limpieza del jacuzzi, casi siempre estaba sucio. Y el horario para encenderlo debería ser un poco más flexible, pues queríamos usarlo durante el día pero nos indicaron que sólo se encendía en la noche. De pronto incluir un horario en el día sería un plus !

Los chicos que nos orientaron en el canopy muy amables, un servicio excelente.

La experiencia de recolección de café y tratamiento excelente!!! Y el señor muy bien calificado para esta tarea, bravo !!

Nos encantó ver que el hotel y sus trabajadores son muy petfriendly, vimos gatos y perros sin hogar que alimentan ellos mismos. Darles alimento y techo a los animalitos de la calle es un ejemplo a seguir. Admiración total para los miembros de Bosques del Saman que dan un ejemplo excelente a todos los que nos hospedamos allí. Un ejemplo de humanidad que hace falta en nuestro país.
