I grew up in envigado and I am so happy to see this beautiful place still standing. Food is amazing and the space is very peaceful.
I recommend the "desayuno" the traditional breakfast. Get the empanadas de papa. And if you ho in the afternoon please get the Rose Sangria.

This is such a beautiful place! The garden is shaded by large trees with a small fountain in the center. The colonial style house has dark-stained wooden bars over the open windows, colorful stained glass windows, and many other details. I didn't know anything about Fernando Gonzalez, but they happily gave me a pamphlet and a book mark... great to learn about Colombian culture in a beautiful place.

Beautiful place with a lot of history in the center of the city. So beautiful to see that it is so well kept.
We were greeted by a gentleman so kind and nice, he explained a lot of the history behind the museum, the books, and Medellin. Even help us recommending us places to go around the city, that we must visit.

Lovely place where you can get an incredible cultural experience, the house of Fernando González preserved in pristine condition, gives you an idea of his life and legacy, such a gorgeous little place surrounded by trees and art. Right next to it the event theatre and the library offer a very modern and cosy space to enjoy cultural events for the community at a very low cost. And finally, the restaurant, the perfect place to enjoy scrumptious food and a great atmosphere in the centre of Envigado.

This is a gem! Space to work, to hang out, and a gorgeous garden cafe in the back. Must visit if you're in envigado!

My sister and I went on a day when they had a really nice lecture series with local scholars and activists. Big fan of the programming here and the cafe was really nice to hang out and have a coffee and think.

I attended a conference here and was pleasantly surprised by the retro historical feel of the place.

Is the best place to have a coffee and relax in Envigado, the place is quiet,natural, conversation and reading friendly; the museum is small but has a lot of history. Food is well prepared and presented,same as the coffee. And the cherry on top, is inexpensive.

This place is excellent for a relaxed and out of crowds afternoon. This place offers a museum at Fernando González (writer, poet and philosopher) estate, where you will find a permanent exhibition of his collections and books, and where different cultural events take place. There is also the Cafe de Otraparte, locate at the back of Gonzalez house and surrounded by trees, providing a fresh and calm environment. Recent changes in the menu has made this place perfect for an afternoon coffee, or for dinner.

Best cafe in Envigado-Medellin. Lots of outdoor space and seating. Great place to work from or have a lunch meeting. Plus, there's a koi fish pond! There's wifi but not many outlets if you need to plug in your computer.

They could do a little better on the food selection but you can't always win them all.

Loved the cafe. A little pricey however the ambience and presentation are worth it! Very nice. Will be back to visit the Museo and enjoy one of the cafes amazing deserts!

Not only a musseum, but a premium restaurant and cafe its one of the best places in envigado to go, relax and enjoy a peaceful ambient, has a water fountain with fishes and the menu is quite original; go st night some days of the week they have movie projections and more

Nice ambiance and yummy food, good for small gatherings because the space is a little limited but i would call it an aesthetically pleasing location with a taste for literary matters ;)

Great place for a coffee. We enjoyed the little garden. We did not go inside the museum.

The nicest coffee place and restaurant in Medellín, great empanadas and cheese sticks, and you can also visit the house of Fernando González, a Colombian writer, and attend cultural activities such as book readings and conferences.

This is a wonderful place for drink a coffee with your friends!!

What a good place to enjoy eating with family, also with someone you love to much and highly recommend.

Nice Cafe bar, sometimes there are free entrance movies and live music. Recommend for couples.
