It's a beautiful and peaceful place, it has a big library/bookstore and in the second floor the view to the mountains and the city It's just magical. The entrance is free. A perfect place place to chill, enjoy of the fresh weather and nature, find a plenty variety of books (at the library)

The arhitecture is good but became a bit old.
The place itself offers many atractions like a huge interesting bookstore (just keep in mind english books are not to be found there).
But the most interesting feature of the place is it's location: in the heart of La Candelaria neighbourhood, oldest and most boheme neighbourhood of Bogotà. You can't possibl go wrong going here, meteres away you could find and discover different wonders of the city: botero museum, amizing old streets, central plaza and cathedral and so on

It is a place with a unique architecture. There they are asked to take excellent photos and you can use the space to have a coffee and read a book. The site has a store where you can buy books of different subjects, next to Juan Valdez and where you can buy a good coffee.

Excellent assortiment of books, specially for children. The shop assistants are very friendly, they allow you to open the books to take a look even if you are not going to buy them.
They have many different editions of the books, so you can get a very simple one up to a hard cover fancy edition.

There are many things to do and also read about in this area because there are many books and libraries from different countries you know where folks from anywhere in the world traveling can find educational books from many other countries and also here, in this place there is another most important thing and that is that it's all very organized and coordinated. The people who greet you, the staff are very courteous for example the security guards who are there are very respectful and courteous You have an upper public class type of thinking I think that it would be outrageous if I did not recommend this place this is a very beautiful place in the heart of downtown Bogota. I should say it's some it's one of the most beautiful places that I visited and most interesting if you want to get no more about Colombian history, culture and so much more. - S.J

This place is unique. It has a Juan Valdez coffee shop in one corner, and it's very close to other restaurants and parkings. Very quiet and nice place.

Nice and quiet place to have a nice lunch or to read a book. Right in the middle of downtown Bogotá, next to the historical district of La Candelaria close to restaurants, bars and Plaza de Bolivar (Bolivar square) Don't miss it!

One is the best libraries in Bogotá housed in one of the best Salmona buildings. You can buy a copy in English of "one hundred years of solitude" too. A great souvenir after your visit to Colombia

Here's a library where you can find the most rare books. An amazing architectural design to walk all over the building, as all Salmona's building.
