Hotel Casa Modelia

Staff are super friendly and sweet. They are caring and deserve every penny they earn plus so much more. I stayed here after spending almost a week in the jungle and the place helped me recover with much needed sleep. There is construction work being done but I honestly slept an entire day with minimal disturbances.

Wonderful staff and a great hotel that is exactly what you need. The rooms are cozy but will furnished and clean. Bathroom is again small, but clean and newly renovated.
Located in a safe area with a few restaurants around, and a five minute walk away from the big mall. Airport is maybe a ten minute drive away, while downtown is a 20 min taxi ride. Breakfast was nice also.
Great place, and I booked to return there later in the month.

Don't be fooled by the entrance (small unmarked white door), this is a very clean, super comfortable little guest house. Hosts are absolutely lovely, super hospitable and welcoming - even packed us little breakfast to go bags for a 5am airport departure.

I stayed here for one month business trip. It's more than a hotel. They did make me feel like I am HOME!
The owner John, who can speak perfect English, and the staff Pacho & Joanan are really friendly guys.
The bed is big and very comfortable, with wonderful sunshine and fresh air in the room.
The water in shower room is always strong and very hot, which is important in winter!
The wifi is strong and stable, which is very important for business trip.
The desk and chair in the room are comfortable and suitable for staying all day there (working).
The breakfast is delicious and you could choose what you want everyday.
I will definitely stay here again next trip ! :)

What to say about Hotel Casa Modelia?

Well, let me say that I was very happily surprised with this stay. Jhon, the owner and operator is super nice and he is really dedicated to his posada/bed-and-breakfast style property. He certainly has vision. The facade of the hotel is modest and is on a street full of businesses and shops and restaurants, a small park, a residential area so you see many families, and close to a huge mall. Modelia is the name of the neighborhood but the mall next to it is named after the nextdoor neighborhood, Hayuelos.

The decoration reminds me of youth hotels I visited with pictures and posters of important cosmopolitan cities of the world, which makes total sense, as Bogotá is one os the biggest cities in South America, with around 9 million inhabitants.

The hotel started off with 3 rooms. Now it has 11. And he just started the expansion to create 2 more floors and an elevator.
The room sizes are not what you're used to in the US so you have to throw that put the window.

Luz is amazing too, she does the Food and Beverage operations, as the hotel includes breakfast. Yes, it includes breakfast! And she also cleans the rooms.

They have security cameras and the monitors are in the main livingroom/bar.
The rooms don't have AC, which at first I was freaking out but then I asked around and apartments don't either. Bogotá is at a very high elevation. It is a cold city most of the year. Everyone is always out with a coat. Opening the windows will do it, and don't worry about mosquitoes, the type of weather up there doesn't foster them.

It was such a great experience staying there and will do so again, especially after the website is done and they don't have to depend on online travel agents.

It was completely grand! 100% recommend it. The owner is an amazing host & accommodating. Very classy place.

El espacio es organizado, tiene buena atención al cliente, desayuno incluido, muy buen aseo en los espacios. Esta encontrado en un sitio central cerca a un centro comercial y en una calle comercial con supermercados, restaurante, salones de belleza. El ambiente es tranquilo no hay exceso de ruido, la verdad me gusto bastante mi experiencia en el hotel, el hotel tiene un buen gimnasio incorporado.

Mi estancia en el Hotel Casa Modelia fue simplemente excepcional. Desde el momento en que llegué, me sentí bienvenido y cuidado por el personal amable y profesional. La ubicación del hotel es perfecta, cerca del aeropuerto y con fácil acceso a diversas atracciones turísticas.

Las instalaciones del hotel son impecables. Mi habitación estaba elegantemente decorada y muy bien equipada, proporcionando todas las comodidades que podría desear para una estancia confortable. La limpieza era impecable, y el diseño del espacio creaba un ambiente acogedor y relajante.

Excelente hotel para descansar, muy comodas y limpias las habitaciones, excelente ubicación cerca a un centro comercial bastantes lugares de comida, ubicado a poca distancia del aeropuerto y el terminal de transporte el salitre.

Si buscas una lugar para alojarte en tus vacaciones, esta es la mejor opción sin duda, un lugar muy cómodo y acogedor desde la primera vez que entras, todo su personal muy amable y brindan una excelente atención. Sin duda volvería.
