Stopped in to look for a patio door roller for my daughter's patio door. When I entered the store I was greeted with merry Christmas by 4 staff members, I asked if they had any rollers, a lady unfortunately I didn't get her name immediately said yes and showed me to the aisle, they didn't have the one I was looking for so she said she would check in the back while I looked for a screwdriver. She came back and said they didn't have any then asked another employee if he knew of any more but there wasn't so I bought the screwdriver. The employee showed excellent customer service in helping me, I was in and out in 5 minutes on Christmas eve. I was able to adjust the roller with the screwdriver I bought and make the door work better. Great Service.

Love this store! Just about anything you would need for average home maintenance and repair, and staff offering great advice and expertise. In addition lots of cool home decor items. A unique feature of this location is that they have great deals on food items that are at or near their expiration dates.

Friendly knowledgable staff. Help readily offered; you don't need to go hunting down someone to reluctantly help like at Canadian Tire. Well stocked. Some excellent deals to be had on Clearance/Overstocked items. I've shopped here at least weekly for the past year for my many DIY home improvement jobs.

They had the most selection for locking shed door hardware and locking handles. But they only had 4 or maybe 5 padlocks to matchup with the handles and I think the cheapest started at 39 dollars for a fairly basic padlock. Ended up going down the street and getting a 4pc lock and 4 key set for 29.99. but I understand there some supply chain issues at the moment so I can't blame them to much. Customer service was top notch and fast.

Biggest home hardware I've ever been too. A bit crowded with so much inventory, but that's OK just means more stuff for us. The tall cashier is always super nice and helpful.

The service here is next level! Always love stopping by to get supplies for my projects. the best before section can't be beat!

I have never had much good luck with Home Hardwares in general. Port Alberni home hardware is different. The staff have been helpful and its a building centre so it has a much larger inventory of products than other locations. Highly recommended.

Service above and beyond expectations. After some confusion about the product I wanted to purchase, Home Hardware staff went out of their way to deliver the product I was wanting to my doorstep (no delivery charge). I did not ask, they offered. Most impressive customer service!

I ordered a sink online and had it picked up in store in May. I didn't open the sink until a week ago as I was waiting (months) for my countertops to come in (from another company.) When we did finally open the sink to install it the sink was cracked! We brought it back to the store and because I paid online (via paypal) it was a tricky return. The staff could have easily rejected my return due to that factor, and also because I was outside of the return period. I could have been out 300+ dollars and left to deal with the manufacturer. All of the staff were all so incredibly helpful, kind and accommodating! Shout out to Karen for helping us pick out a new sink (and checking the new sink for defects.) My dad and I have been chipping away at renos on my place and Westcoast Home Hardware has been a great resource. They've often had a lot of little things we haven't been able to find elsewhere. The staff are always so friendly, engaging and seem to really want to help.

Such a wonderful store with helpful and kind staff. Always fun to explore the featured area and more often than not they have lots of stuff on sale. Great selections when it comes to anything houseware and will order anything if not currently in the store.

Went with my family to look for paint colours for a DIY project and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The paint expert, Mickey, was very very knowledgeable about the best techniques, paints, stains, etc and we were able to get the best tools for our project. Thank you Mickey, you're the best!

Super friendly and helpful staff. I found that they have limited selection on higher end building supplies example being Schulter products. it's normally mixed up and when it comes to plumbing parts and sharkbite fittings. It's a very overly crammed feeling as they have things jammed everywhere. The back area is even worse and very disorganized.

Great staff and service...... even if its a buck more ill come here cause of the staff and how they greet you every time you come pick something up or just look around..... all here are very nice and cheerful. Thanks G. D. AND PH. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK... ITS THE STAFF THAT MAKES A PLACE GREAT!

Been here a few times, staff have always been able to point me to the isle of whatever I can't find. Even had someone cut some wood for me with a smile.

This is a cool little Home Hardware up in Port Alberni, I usually always stop in when I'm in town, I bought a cool electric lighter there that can be recharged with a USB charger, check this place out everybody and happy shopping 😁

Always a great experience.. the staff are simply the most helpful around, and always take the time to address your needs and questions. Great place with great people.
